lock out. for receiver to arrive at sender's location, only to realize they've been locked out of the perimeter.

last kiss. for sender to kiss receiver for what they assume may be the final time. maybe it is, maybe it isn't.

fooling around. for sender and receiver to engage in sex or physical intimacy because they believe it'll be their last time.

scavenge. for sender and receiver to risk their lives outside of safety in hopes of finding goods and supplies for their group or themselves to keep them going awhile longer.

beyond the window. for receiver to witness sender struggling to survive whatever threat is outside their safezone.
