Could I get sum smoke/mute headcanons... or anything you want ? :-) thank you!
!! smoke/mute is part of my being, of course i’ll write some of them!
1.) Mute helped Smoke put some of the finishing touches on his Remote Gas Grenades. They started off rougher than they are now- which is really saying something. Smoke insists that’s why he calls them his babes, since his own babe helped work on them.
“Hey babe, c’mon over here. I want your final input on these babes.”
2.) Speaking of babes, the nickname was something Mute really didn’t like at first. He’s not the most affectionate to begin with, but with Smoke nonchalantly calling him babe at every turn, eventually he grew used to it. Almost like a nickname. So now Smoke’s had to move onto another one, Marky. Essentially, as long as Mute is flustered around him, Smoke is satisified.
“Just bring back babe, please. This new one is absolute shit.”“No can do, Marky.”
3.) Smoke is the first person Mute has been with, which either usually shocks people, or if they know him better, aren’t entirely surprised. What does surprise them though is that he even considered getting close to Smoke, with Mute being so withdrawn and at times having exceedingly high standards and what not.
“He’s an absolute pain in my ass. A huge piece of shit. But he means a lot to me, I suppose.”
4.) As a duo on the field, the two are unmatched. People like to say that it’s because they know each other in and out. Smoke likes to say that they’re just fantastic on their own, so together they’re just that much better. Mute claims that Smoke is just so unpredictable, that the enemy has no idea what to do, and Mute just covers him. In reality, it’s just that they’ve been working together since before they joined Rainbow.
“I’ve known ‘im for about... six years now? Been partners since the SAS until I got a little frisky with him.”
5.) Smoke’s daughter always supports what he does, the two of them are closer than you could ever imagine. But when she first met Mute? She really didn’t like him that much. Mute came across cold and somewhat awkward when he first spoke to her. Their first interaction involved Mute walking into their flat, and they just had an awkward staring contest. Smoke had forgotten to mention that he had a daughter, and he was surprised to see her. It took a few months, but they finally warmed up to each other. In fact, sometimes they plot against Smoke, where she will insist on playing some pranks on him, and Mute will more than gladly get his revenge on his boyfriend.
“Can you make a thingy to like... shock him when he tries to lay on the couch?”“I think I can do a bit better than that, just you watch.”
