I’ve said this many times before, but RON is a work of fiction! The things that happen in this story are not real, and the relationships represented in it are not real. Even the basis of the world itself is not real. This isn’t an issue of morality, but of taste.

I aim to do many things with RON, but surprising you with triggers is not one of them. Tagging is a courtesy, not a requirement, but it's a courtesy I make an effort to extend.

but seriously, people need to be okay with people enjoying fucked up fic. Not that this was even anything in the range of what i would call fucked up fic! If enjoying murder mysteries doesnt turn you into a killer, then enjoying reading/writing fic about controlling behavior/abuse/sexual assault isnt going to turn anyone into an abuser

and yeah i’m gonna yell about it because thinking like this goes from “you shouldnt write about toxic behavior” to “it’s bad to enjoy reading noncon” to “practicing kink leads to unhealthy behaviors” to “sexual deviancy of any kind is bad” to “anyone who enjoys anything outside of these very specific parameters (kinksters, poly people, drag performers, sex workers, etc.) is bad”. and so i think it needs to be nipped in the bud.
