Heavy rains contribute to water leaking into the tents, making them unsafe, wet and unsuitable for habitation. Extreme coldness also causes poor health conditions, especially for children and the elderly, who are at risk of respiratory diseases, such as colds and pneumonia.

Tents lack adequate heating and thermal insulation, making them unsuitable for cold resistance, and it gets worse under strong winds that can cause the tents to tear or completely remove. In addition, the soil around the tents becomes muddy and slippery, which hinders mobility and increases the risk of slips and injury.

Living in tents during winter is a painful and degrading experience, where people are deprived of the most basic means of comfort and safety, and face daily challenges to ensure survival, making them in urgent need of the support of community and humanitarian organizations to improve their living conditions.
