beetee latier came up with one singular plan ever to defeat the hunger games and canonically tried to make it work TWICE despite the fact that it literally blew up in his face the first time.
this officially makes him the world’s most accurate fictional scientist because he HAS a favorite hypothesis that he IS going to make sure works even if it fucking kills him

my girl did not hear a single word
I know people talk about all the trauma Reid went through, it's a running joke at this point. But there's one piece of trauma that I don't think is spoken about enough - Season 2 episode 11.
A man is going around killing prostitutes since he thinks they're an "illness to the city" or something like that, and at the beginning of the episode, a teenage boy stops Reid on his commute to work. The kid is a suspect for the murders but is eventually just found to be scared and didn't know what was going on in his head - Gideon's evaluation deemed him to be a sexual sadist (I THINK, CANT QUITE REMEMBER).
By the end of the episode, the original unsub is found, the kid was going into psychological care and had "one last night of freedom" (his words). So he finds a prostitute. He wants to live his fantasies. But instead he tries to commit suicide, leaving Reid's business card on the table for the woman he was with to call.
Reid obviously shows up and saves the kid's life, while actively being told to stop by said boy. Blood was all over his hands and the conflict of what would happen to women in the future if this boy lives is obviously gnawing at him, but he knows what's right to do. So he saves his life.
That, in and of itself, is traumatic enough. Just saving someone who is bleeding out. But then after, wondering what could happen in the future because he let some kid with strong homicidal urges (who would completely act on it, and almost did) live. That's just awful.
Garcia started her trauma journey (from the job specifically) at that point, since she was helping Reid keep him alive.
I don't know, I just think the episode is too overlooked in my opinion, and it's one of the episodes that always sticks in my mind the most.
this episode is INSANELY overlooked. everyone talks about reid’s trauma from being kidnapped, his addiction, maeve being killed, and prison, but NEVER having to save nathan. i was just thinking about how this episode and this bit of reid’s trauma is so overlooked.
NATHAN IS HIS NAME!! THANK YOU!
I was in the middle of watching the episode when I made my original post and forgot his name 😭

I DREW A WHILE AGO, ITS A REDRAW OF SOMETHING I DID YEARS AGO (WHEN I FIRST STARTED DRAWING)
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!!!!!
Okay I haven't posted on here in a while but I have gotten back into my Anne with an E obsession.
I love the show and everything, obviously, but I keep seeing so many people (especially on Amybeth's posts everywhere) complaining there wasn't a fourth season.
Why?
I feel like the way the show ended was the perfect resolution? Anne gets the closure she always wanted with her parents, the confession between her and Gilbert happened and she's obviously visibly happy and she's growing up. That's a great ending.
People have become too obsessed with wanting to see absolutely everything about a character's life that they forget stories are just as much for your imagination as it is for a reality that you see or read about. We don't need to see how her life would fare in the future with Gilbert, we don't need to see her development anymore because she has GROWN UP from the 11/12 year-old that we first see (I can't remember her exact age right now so I apologise if I'm misremembering).
I think people also forget that there isn't much more story that they could go off really. Saying this, I may be wrong - I haven't read the original books or seen the original film so I don't know what other content they have, but that being said this show doesn't need to be an exact replica of those. It can be its own thing, with its own ending and that's completely okay.
I'm just happy we got three seasons and a full story.
