You all complain about the stuff that was cut, but the movie is already THREE HOURS LONG. SHOULD WE ADD ANOTHER THREE TO ADHERE TO YOUR OH-SO-HIGH EXPECTATIONS??? IS THE POINT IF STORIES TO STAY STATIC OR FOR PEOPLE TO INTERPRET IT FOR THEMSELVES, TO MAKE IT SO THAT AUDIENCES CAN EASILY UNDERSTAND IT?? We cannot gatekeep stories so that they are only for people who are “smart” enough to understand the originals. Stories evolve! They change! They may not be changes you agree with, but they do! Do you think you could do better, or do you hold the “original” to unrealistically high expectations? God!
