"It's weird, Doctor. It's like I belong here. It feels right."

“I missed you so much, Pond. I don’t understand how or why you’re here but you are and for so long you haven’t been… I don’t understand.”

“Why wouldn’t I be?”

"I just thought I came back rather sudden."

“Confused because you don’t know how you got here? Is that it?”

"Partially. It's nice that you're so welcoming though."

“Then I’m afraid I don’t understand, Amelia.”

"I don't believe that I really understand it myself. I'm happy to see you, but I'm confused as well. Maybe the confusion will pass."

"Course I'm happy to see you! I missed you, it's only natural."

“S’pose you’re right,” she replied quietly, taking it in context for herself and Amy. How was Amy different because the Doctor had met Rose before her, she wondered? Had she made any difference at all?

"Oh, it was horrid." A joking smile appears on her face. She couldn't help but wonder how Rose's relationship with the Doctor had been. Was it anything like her own? "Sure doesn't take much for time and space to get jumbled." 

He sighs with his eyes darting about her features like he’s trying to figure her out. “Talk to me Amy. Be honest, tell me what’s wrong.”

"No more sad faces," she confirms, her voice a mumble. "I'm not even entirely sad. I'm a lot of different things, actually. Mainly shaken."
