At the question, Evie blinked before her smile widened. ❝ Yeah! Of course we are, ❞ she said without hesitation. ❝ Unless you've changed your mind and decided you can't handle living with me and my caffeine addiction. ❞ She reached for her coffee as it was set down, wrapping both hands around the mug. Though maybe it was a smarter idea for her to not move in with Quinn. ❝ I mean.. unless you and Wyatt decide to move in together at some point than I will continue this living by myself journey. ❞

a big sigh of relief left her lips as she leaned back against the booth, "oh good because we were about to have a problem if you were going to change your mind or say no." there's a raise of her brow as she shook her head, "girl are you kidding me? as if i would change my mind." a pause as her face turned jokingly serious, "i mean i wasn't going to say anything but i'm so glad you're admitting it because that's the first step to recovery." she jokes before letting out another chuckle. she hadn't thought about her and wyatt moving in together yet since they had just gotten together, "he'll be fine, we can live together until then if we end up going that route." she added then gave her a playful glare, "if you hate me just say so."

The waiter approached then, and Evie glanced down at her menu, the heaviness she'd been carrying feeling a little lighter than before. She took in a sharp breathe of air, making sure to slide her sleeve of her shirt down as she ordered herself some breakfast and another coffee with a sweet tea.

when the waiter approached, quinn waited for evie to go first, before she gave her order. quinn may have seen evie slide her sleeve down her arm, but didn't say anything, not wanting to push or pry into having evie telling her what happened. her gaze lifted before she could get caught staring by evie. "oh so, question." quinn leaned up and pressed her elbows on the table and folded her hands together, "are we still moving in together?"

“Hi, sorry!” Nathan moved out of the way, so he wouldn’t block her sun. “I’m Nathan. I thought you looked familiar, but I don’t think we’ve actually met!”

quinn was always friendly with anyone she met, she wasn't once to be rude unless they were rude to her first, which rarely happened. the only time quinn was probably rude was if her squad was coping up an attitude with her. although anywhere else, she was always smiling, always friendly. she greeted the person in front of her and waited to see what they would say. a soft chuckle leaves her lips as she shakes her head, "hey no need to apologize, you just look like you have a lot going on there." she said gesturing to what he was holding and all that, "nice to meet you, nathan, no yeah i've seen you around, i'm quinn." she greeted back since she felt she had seen him around town, but never really engaged in any conversation with him until now. "well nathan, you're more than welcomed to join me, if you don't mind company."

"So he wasn't pulling our legs on that, huh?" Mickey gave a bob of his head in consideration. "Good luck with that one. High energy. Annoying memes." It was his right to rag on his brother, to rag on any one of them. They would do the same about him, he knew. In fact, the topic of him would probably be worse. Mickey assumed they all had him written off as the worst in the bunch but, because he was still their brother, only they could say that. "You're probably right," with a balance of his arms on his knees, his attention turned to the water. "When'd you guys decide to call it a duo?"

quinn's head tilted a bit at his comment about wyatt pulling their legs, so maybe he did tell them about her. there's a small smile that appears on her expression as she shrugs her shoulders, "that's what makes him, him. his energy, the annoying memes." a beat, "i don't mind them at all actually." it's what she loves about him the most. not to mention whenever it's just the two of them, she feels safe with him, at home, with her favorite person. her head turned to look at him now as he continued and thought a moment at his question, "maybe the day after the wedding reception." it wasn't a surprise to her well maybe at first, but in the beginning she had no idea she'd finally get to call wyatt her boyfriend.

it was a nice day out and quinn wanted to take advantage of her day off enjoying the nice weather. the beach was the perfect opportunity to do it. her drink in hand, book in her lap, and the sound of the waves crashing onto the shore as it backs up back into the ocean. the person in front of her looked familiar and it caused her to smile. when she realized who it was, quinn smiled and chuckled shaking her head, "please, it's totally fine, just want you to be comfortable instead of just standing there when you could take a seat beside company." she told her before exhaling a breath nodding her head, "that's also why i enjoy coming out here, just the sound of the waves crashing, the sun, the sand, all of it."

Wren laughed softly, relaxing a little at Quinn's reassurance. "Good, 'cause I was starting to think I'd completely lost you there for a second." At the question about which brother, she pressed her lips together, fighting a smile. "Oh, so now we're getting nosy?" she teased, nudging Quinn lightly with her shoulder. "West." Smiling with a brow. "He was cute, we text sometimes."

quinn smiled and shook her head, "you're totally fine, not lost at all, it happens to the best of us and sometimes i don't even realize i'm spacing out until someone calls me out on it." she laughs softly. "oh my bad gir, didn't mean to be nosy, just curious." a pause a beat before she smirks, "maybe a little nosy." she smiles nudging her back, "oh that's cute, that's cute i fucks with it."

Conor walked across the beach and came to a stop, looking around for a spot to settle. “Oh shit, I’m sorry,” Conor replied, moving out of the sun. “I wasn’t really paying attention.” Looking at the drink, Conor said, “I could be persuaded if you tell me where you got that drink,” a smirk on his face.

quinn isn't really rude to anyone and if she comes off that way, it was never in an actual rude kind of way. it was more of a friendly joking type of thing. no one was really blocking her sun, and honestly she didn't really care, she also didn't mind the company if they ended up actually sitting beside her on the beach. she looked up at him and smiled as she chuckled softly, "no you're good, just figured you could sit instead of just stand there." looking at her drink, then back at him with a sweet smile, "over there, by that booth." she leaned forward pointing to a booth that was selling boba drinks and smoothies, "it's very delicious if i do say so myself."

Evie let out a quiet breath as Quinn squeezed her hand, her fingers curling around the warmth of the moment even after she pulled away. A small, genuine smile tugged at her lips at the words, softening the tension she’d been carrying. ❝ Good… because I don’t know what I’d do without you either, ❞ she admitted, voice lighter than she felt, eyes briefly flicking back up to meet Quinn’s. She hesitated for a second, like opening up about what Gavin did would make it more real, then just shook her head faintly with a soft laugh. ❝ I’m okay, really. Just… life being a lot lately. But I’ve got you, so I’ll survive it. Okay! Enough sappy moment, let's eat. ❞

even though quinn and evie have been best friends for the amount of time that evie had moved here, it felt as if they had been best friends longer than that. that's what she loved about their friendship. they both clicked so fast that it felt easy with her. her expression was soft while they were both being emotional. "well guess what, you never have to find out because i'm not going anywhere. i mean unless you tell me otherwise but until then you're practically stuck with me." she responded with a shrug of her shoulder and a smile. quinn waited to see if evie was going to say anything but again didn't push. she would tell her when she was ready. a soft laugh leaves her lips and nods her head, "good idea, no more sappiness. but for the record, i've got you, always to, okay?" her smile was softened as she looked down at the menu when the waiter came over to take their order.

Evie paused at the question, her smile softening as she looked down at her mug for a second before slowly nodding. ❝ Yeah... I think so, ❞ she admitted honestly, lifting one shoulder in a small shrug. She was going through some hard times, with Gavin mainly, but she wasn't ready to admit that out loud. ❝ Maybe a little overwhelmed, but not in a bad way. ❞ A quiet laugh slipped out before her expression gentled at Quinn's thanks. ❝ You never have to thank me for that, Quinn. You're one of my best friends and I love you until the end of time, you got it? ❞

honestly if it weren't for evie, both her and wyatt probably wouldn't have made a move to turn their friendship into something more. well maybe not her but maybe wyatt would have made a move sooner or later. there's a small smile that sits on her expression as she nods her head not wanting to push so she leaves it at, "okay well you know i'm here for you, right? anything i'm here for you." she reassures her reaching over the table to hold her hand to give it a light squeeze before pulling her hand back. her soft expression stayed as she listened to evie then gave her a sweet smile, "you're one of my best friends too." she pauses and nods her head, "i love you too."

“ it’s not like me and the sun properly mix, hein, ” angelicce uttered with a subtle chuckle, stripping off her jacket to show off skin that was proper pale from a total lack of sunshine and an existence that was purely nocturnal—and, franchement, spent mostly in graveyards. she set up her own chair right next to her mate and grabbed her drink, a passionfruit caipirinha, ice-cold and sweet, exactly how it’s meant to be. “ are you planning on nicking into the water then, or did you drag me out here just to watch you read a book? ”

"hey just wanting you to be more comfortable that's all." she told the other with a sweet smile on her expression. she leaned back against her chair and watched as she got somewhat more comfortable. "see there you go, isn't that so nice?" she asked as she glanced over at the other feeling satisfied that she now looked relaxed. "hey i can put my book down and we can just chat." her eyes shifted to the water and tilted her head to the side, "i might later, depending how the waves are looking." she did have her surfboard dug into the sand in case she was to go into the water later.
