What type of content do I post?
I mainly focus on drawings/doodles/etc! Most of what I draw nowadays is original characters, whether it be from my own original story or an AU of existing media I threw my ocs into. I may post non-oc related fan art, but it will not be as frequently. I'm also a writer! I'll post links and updates related to any fics I post over on AO3!

Sat down at my computer today, fully intent on drawing more sticker designs. It is now roughly 4 or 5 hours later and I have not made a single one, because I impulsively decided to work on a different project........ sigh
phm is decently popular in japan and i mostly see this when i check twitter and see accounts posting pictures of handmade rocky plushies that are so fucking round looking it brings a tear to my eye

if youāre a white creator and your brown/black characters are always sassy, reckless, aggressive or cold and your white characters are always soft, demure, shy and introverted you should think about maybe why you did that
sorry to hijack your post, but imo this also applies to colourism dynamics, even if you have a full cast of colour. like i can only confidently speak from the south asian context, but RAMPANT colourism in the community has given rise to and perpetuated these same stereotypes of people with darker skin being more aggressive and sexually promiscuous than theĀ āreserved, civilisedā light skins.Ā
This applies to your wlw and mlm ships as well. If the lighter or white one is always sweeter, nicer, softer, more innocent, or more feminine and the darker or poc one is always meaner, louder, more aggressive, more sexual, or more masculine then youāve got a problem sweetie and thatās racism.Ā

Iām more than a little concerned at seeing recommended tumblr communities with names like āqueer teensā or ānonbinary teensā and advertising themselves as a space for teenagers as young as 13 to make friends with each other. I donāt wanna sound like anyoneās dad here, but this isā¦ not safe. Anyone can join those communities, theyāre not private unless you make it private. You canāt trust that everyone in there is actually a teenager, so please donāt advertise your age or other peopleās ages like that in online spaces. You can absolutely make private communities or discord servers with trusted friends, but not public communities that anyone can join, especially if those communities are specifically targeted at marginalisedā and therefore vulnerableā teenagers.

Guys listen, You can get both the leaves AND logs from the sapling. The sapling is so obviously the winner here! Even though the leaves are nice they are nothing without the saplings or logs!
Now, you may be thinking; "But Quinn, the easiest way to get saplings is FROM the leaves!" And to that, I say that, unless YOU placed those leaves, they're going to break anyway once the logs are gone! The logs that also COME FROM THE SAPLING!!! And if you're collecting the leaves for decoration? You can plant a new tree to get yourself EVEN MORE LEAVES TO USE!!
You can't have one of these without the other, but the sapling clearly is the better of the two.

June 12, 2016. Putting a date on this for when it gets reblogged months from now by people who think the post is about something from 30, 40 years ago.
I am a survivor of the Pulse nightclub shooting, having grown up in Orlando and just turned 20 a month prior. If you didnāt know, there were several families who refused to claim the bodies of their relatives due to their sexuality. One family even had their relativeās name removed from the memorial. Murdered by the same hate with which their families reject them in both life and death.
Many, many people celebrated Pulse. We were told we deserved it. That it was Godās punishment for our sin of loving the same sex. We are sent messages like these I received in 2018:
We in the community often call the victim count 49+ to include the survivors who couldnāt live with the pain.
The event was never officially declared a hate crime or targeted homophobic attack and is rarely listed as one in databases.
At our vigils for those slaughtered, Extremist Christian groups showed up to protest, holding signs like this:

Please understand how much more than just a mass shooting this was. We are still to this day harassed and told we deserved it by some.
This year was the sixth anniversary. The first couple years I received dozens of messages checking in on me on 6/12. Year 5 got enough news coverage for people to think to reach out to me. This year it was my therapist, the woman I kissed in that photo, and a couple of other gun violence survivor friends. People are forgetting already.
