I feel like this is important to share because i struggled with why my shadows felt wrong for a long time only to realize it was because I didn’t understand this concept. which is arguably the most one of the most important parts of rendering shadows. there’s obviously more to it than just this though. go look at photos you’ll notice it everywhere.
