Had a busy ass weekend!
Started out with driving to SoCal (which was boring as usual) Two AMAZING dance classes at the Edge on Friday FIREMERCS on Saturday and Sunday I want to talk a little about FireMercs and my own personal experience with it. I LOVED that I got to play with people I don't normally play with. Tye and I were the only Riverside Quidditch players there and it was cool to meet others and play with them. I met a lot of ASU players and got to reconnect with UCLA, USC, SB, and LB players I hadn't seen since Beachside or SCQC Finale. It was hard for me not to step into a Captain position. I'm usually very vocal when it comes to calling subs and telling people where to go on pitch so I wanted to step back as much as I could. I played fairly well on Saturday, albeit being very sore from the day before. I wasn't as aggressive as I could have been, mostly due to the other teams speed. I need to remind myself not to dance the day before a Quidditch tournament (haha). I need to also work on my endurance more. I stopped running since school got out and it's really been making a difference. Back to the treadmill when I get home (ugh). Knees were okay, ankles were okay except for a little pain in my left. I think I may have done something really bad to my thumb but I've been icing it. It's still bruised but hopefully it'll get better.
I really can't wait until next years FireMercs. Fantasy tournaments are always so interesting and I just really like playing with as many other people as possible XD
