Quest for equilibrium

The Christian should take nothing short of Christ for his model. Under no circumstances ought we to be content unless we reflect the grace which was in him.

Some refuse to be happy with their situation because they don’t see God’s sovereignty.

God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son.

It’s really easy to think social media is real relationship -what you see is what things are like- but remember it’s all filtered by choice of what is shared, and real life has no filter. Social media is really just a tool we can use to connect and keep in touch, and a powerful platform for information and influence (or misinformation). It’s a message channel.

For after all, to be a Christian is not to be like other professing Christians, or to accept ecclesiastical propositions; to be a Christian is to admire Jesus so sincerely and so fervently that the whole life goes out to him in an aspiration to be like him.

Quarrels among Christians ruin those who hear them.

Christians must follow Christ, follow his methods and prescriptions, do the things that he says, follow his example and pattern, walk as he also walked, follow his conduct by his providence and Spirit. We must go whither he leads us, and in the way he leads us.
