harrow the ninth Book Of All Time actually. gaslights the audience immediately. doesn’t answer any of the questions from the last book until like 300 pages in. complete perspective shift. complete tonal shift. god is making poe references and meme references in the same breath. blink and you’ll miss it lore drops that are actually critical to understanding what’s going on. so so much grief. The dichotomy at the end of HtN between Harrow entering her river bubble and crying/mourning profusely when she remembers Gideon and what she's done versus Gideon in Harrow's body on the Mithraeum running around in her old sunglasses, getting her thumbs bitten off, making jerk off gestures at Ianthe, pausing to admire a naked chick painting and then discovering that she is Jesus H Christ all in the span of like twenty minutes
