me: I have several friends that I can tell anything to, with no fear of judgement. Do you really not feel safe talking to your friends?

them: Okay, it’s not that. It’s like, you’re planning your life with this person, you know? You’re visualizing a future for yourself that they’re a part of. 

me: I mean, I have friends I picture being in my life forever? I’ve talked to some friends about like, trying to move to the same city, and living together, and getting a dog together. Is that what romantic love is like? 

them: Okay, no, it’s like… It’s more than that. It’s like, this person is your person, you know? 

me: So it’s about…. a sense of… ownership? 

them: Okay, no, it’s just like, it’s a deeper kind of connection, alright?
