Hello friends!

As you guys can tell, this blog has been inactive for a while. I have been busy with college, and actually recently graduated with a B.S. in Animation YAYYYYY

But with that said...I no longer own chickens. I rehomed the remaining 12 chickens of my flock last week. I am (hopefully) studying abroad in France for 2 years starting this fall, so I could no longer keep my children. So sadly, no more chickenmuses.

I am still active elsewhere if anyone is interested in seeing what else I do. I am just as weird on this blog as I am elsewhere. Maybe in the future I will take more pictures of birds or animals in general and start this back up again.

Most things I do go unnoticed by others, but that’s okay.

Taking things one step at a time is okay.

Not fitting in is better than forcing yourself to fit somewhere you don’t belong.

Chilis was forced into rooster retirement at the ripe age of 1 year and 5ish months. His blind eye and being hurt by the dog was just too much for him. Every morning I would have to physically pick him up from his hiding spot in the barn and set him outside to free range. And even then he would go as far away from everyone as possible and would sleep elsewhere at night and I would have to go get him and bring him back. He is now chilling with the current set of baby chicks and will just continue to hang out with any future baby chicks (once they are feathered) until he either gets better or dies.

There is still no head rooster. One of my older roosters, Yato, took over hanging out with the older hens since that was what Purdy originally did. Big Chick Energy has no clue what he wants to do in terms of leading his own flock and just follows Shiro around all day. 

Since four of the largest baby chicks are now free ranged there is another group of 4 being prepared for it. I think in about a week they’ll be able. They just have to pass the test of ‘will they stop freaking out when I move them from one cage to another’ and ‘will they go on their own from their night cage to their day cage’. Brandonette, the one with the face tumor thing, is the socializer for the pre-freeranged chicks and is unhappy with how I keep giving her babies that are larger than her to hang out with. 

I cannot tell for the life of me if it was WeaselBREW or Kira that got squished by the turkey. This is old news, but every day I look at this hen and cannot tell which one she is. I thought it was originally Kira that got squished, but now I am thinking it was WeaselBREW. They looked exactly the same so I’ll probably never know.

Georgette disappeared and returns for a few minutes every morning to eat. She has a nest somewhere but I have yet to catch her to put a beeper on her. Those babies should be hatching within the week.

Geno the parrot is adjusting well to his new home. He has said many noises, bit me many times, and only lets me pet his head at night. When he doesn’t bite he licks my hand it is very weird.

I’ve queued up muses and it will post 1 every day. Yeehaw. 

Being gullible is not bad but those who take advantage of that are.

Trivial matters should not matter when there are larger issues to contend to.

Responsibility should be claimed, not inherited.
