These are screenshots of messages I sent to my friend explaining how I *do* feel attraction. I am not going to describe aromanticism as the absence of something but rather the presence of something else.

Text:
Message 1: So, attraction is very neutral to me. Like intense but neutral as in it’s not labelled. Labeless attraction. Things I feel when i’m passionately attracted to someone: the desire to have sex, the desire to touch them sexually, be really close friends, reciprocity of energy, which is basically I would like them to feel passionate about me. Message 2: I also use the words “in love” which encompasses everything I said above. So something that is a strong friendship with a strong sexual component, usually to me, means I am in love with that person. Now, this doesn’t happen often.
Message 3: What I don’t experience: butterflies, anything to do with the gut that people talk about, the desire to be monogamous, to call them anything other than a friend, for them to expect them to be treated differently from my closest friends.
