so hear me out âŚ. orthopaedic surgeon!reader who was parkâs protege but left PTMC to accept an attending position after the fellowship ended (no positions at PTMC despite park trying). but reader started a clinical trial recently which park mentions after a patient in ED is a good candidate (still in contact bc dude wants to steal you back first chance â not a mini-me but kinda is like isnât afraid of him, has the talent but not the level arrogance, throws back at him and he grew fond bc dude actually respected it shockingly enough)
majority of the time reader goes to ED instead of park (theyâre thankful (residents glad anyways) bc dudes intimidating af and youâre less intimidating but absolutely still kinda are) so sad when reader left. but especially abbot bc tho he knew youâre a fellow and likely wouldnât stay, there was banter/flirty thing that always happened when the two of you interacted. it was fun and despite him being rather flirty, he actually just enjoyed the banter particularly with you. so ngl heâs kinda surprised youâre still in contact with park but he was your mentor so kinda makes sense (tho abbot lowkey jealous but wonât admit it) â anyways so abbot decides to look into your trial (bc itâs currently on the clinical trial online thing thatâs public) â maybe reaches out (sneaky goes to your trial and is like âso this is why you leftâ which is a joke bc he knows you work at another hospital) ?? maybe secretly opts to deliver patients to park that suit your trial (letâs say the trial is about outcomes of torn rotator cuff repairs â I googled clinical trials and that was one, might change) and youâre like hmmm where are all these applicants from and you find out and pop over one day â talk to park who not so subtly tells you and you go talk to jack and so yeah sparks back up and goes from there âŚâŚ..
