Effortlessly, Lizzie's large hazel orbs turn to him from beneath haloes of long lashes. Crimson drifts into and stains the soft globes of her cheek at the unanticipated compliment. Lizzie can't help but notice how rare a find he is; handsome and kind. Her gaze drops briefly to the cupid-bow of his lips, and she leans in. Was it WRONG to kiss him for something as simple as being sweet? Or to even fantasize about it? Yeah, probably. Lizzie hesitates, her eyes slowly searching his eyes for what could be considered silent permission.
"If you like it that much, you should keep making comical remarks, because I love to laugh." The minute the phrase is out of her mouth, she wants to kick herself. How is it possible to sound so obscenely awkward?!!!
Looking at him made Novak's heart skitter, stutter-step, and skip several very palpable beats. He has her paralyzed, tongue-tied, and twisted. Her gaze is almost stricken, crestfallen at the idea that she could very easily blow her shot with him.
"You know what I love about you, Frost?" Lizzie demurely starts, in an effort to shift the conversation to somewhere hopefully less awkward. The question is purely rhetorical. She was always going to provide an answer anyways. "It's the way you genuinely care about people." The freakishly hot doctor is GIFTED at reading people, even her. He makes everyone he is around feel SEEN. That too, happened to be a rare talent.
Gingerly, her porcelain digits move to sweep a speck of something from his jaw-line. Though she had striven to bid the urgency to kiss him adieu, it lingered. Embarrassingly so.
