Now that I’m no longer an Irish Girl Guides Commissioner type person and have no board meetings or reports and can concentrate fully on my Friday night meetings with my 10-14 year olds, I can put my creativity into writing about books.
I’m not a reviewer, I won’t be delving into themes or slagging off anyone, so if I don’t like something, I’ll be “cool” about it.
Anyway it’s early days but I wrote a bit about Irish poet and essayist Doireann Ní Ghríofa who has a new book SAID THE DEAD after I went to a an event where she spoke about the book which is based on archive records in Cork City.
