It's not even doomscrolling anymore, it's just doom. No rain next week again. Everything around here is built to absorb large amounts of water, not to go without it for literal months. Our nature too, it handles melting snow and spring floods really well, not this terrifying lack of water. Not even starting on electricity. We are this good with renewables because we use hydropower, and for some reason the people around here don't seem to understand that their acs are powered by the rivers that dwindle. Nevermind the countries downstream that can't cool their nuclear power plants anymore. And this is just Europe. If you want to get an idea what is currently driving me nuts, look at the Niño 3.4 index. It's building to be the worst ever experienced anomaly in recorded history. Meaning complete devastation in large parts of the global south. That means famines, death and war with even more displaced people that no one will take in anymore.
