I've noticed that in divination, I can influence the results. I have tested this with yes/no when flipping a coin. If I will it to be yes, it'll be yes. If I will it to be no, it'll be no. If I think it's probably yes, it'll be yes. If I think it's probably no, it'll be no. How can I make divination more reliable after this? How can I practice it confidently?
Yeah that’s not a good thing. That’s something that many are unaware of and needs to be remedied. This is the same thing people find when they first begin working with things like ouija boards or pendulums. Your body can influence the results and outcomes of those things. It’s physical and scientific. But what are the ways to remedy that? The first is to find a method of divination to practice with that your body can’t influence. The drawing of cards, or truly, the random drawing of anything can be one method. If you have no idea what cards are where, you can’t influence it. Flipping a coin isn’t a good method of divination because it has such a limited scope of answers. Try something more complex and more classic. If you really want to get down and dirty, geomancy is one complex method that yields interesting results.The other thing to do, after long practice, is to train yourself to not have any influence over the process. Clear your mind of expectations and desires. Simply do the action required in the divination. This is imperative. If you cannot do this, you no longer qualify as an impartial reader, which means that your results will likely be swayed in one way or another.
