Maybe you could set up a good old reward system for yourself? That might help you get through all of it. And if you ever need any help, let me know. I don’t have to do math anymore (thank God), but I used to be pretty good at hunting down that ‘x’ back in high school. Not that I think this is the same as high school math, but still, it might be worth a shot. Two heads are better than one, after all.

Yeah.. I mean, I tried that, but I ended up kind of rewarding myself with an episode of something on Netflix when I finished a problem and now I’m just binge watching and not really.. getting this homework done. I mean.. you’d really do that? It’s cool of you to offer and I do kind of need the help, so.. yeah. I’d really appreciate that, man. Thanks.

Do they really say that? I mean, I can see it when we’re talking about you. You’re the coolest and prettiest girl ever, Quinn. I’m just the lucky guy who gets to be with you.

Clearly it was too much to expect something to be going on around here; both in this dustball of a town and on this social media wasteland. Ground Control to Major Tom, is anybody even out there? My mistake, this is Lima after all.

Yeah, I hear you on that one. It’s been pretty.. dusty around here, I guess. But it’s not that bad. It’s college and we’re, like, free to do whatever we want.

My parents took me to Isla Mujeres for my birthday, which isn’t some weirdly Sapphic destination despite the name.

Nah. I guess when I think about it, I kinda want to leave high school in high school. We're adults now.. I've been with Quinn for a while and I'm happy with my relationship. Kinda hard to picture being with someone else when you're in love and all that.

So just because it’s the societal norm, it’s correct and acceptable? Interesting take. I do believe the term you’re looking for is “instant gratification”, yes. I don’t recall saying that, no. I’m only saying that if and when I do, which admittedly is a rarity, I refrain from plastering it all over social media. And, I choose to focus more on the solution versus the problem. I see no good sense in doing anything but. That’s a foolish attitude you have there. You’re setting yourself up to fail, and closing off several roads to success. Perhaps I’d see your point in any other facet of life, but when it comes to academics and the success of your future, limiting yourself and your resources is a great way to ensure you stay stuck, especially when you’re already frustrated and struggling. By all means, though, keep doing what you’re doing. Survival of the fittest. Uh-huh. Well. You keep holding onto that one, man.

I didn’t mean it like that. Sometimes it’s not cool.. all that stuff that goes up on social media. Other times, you just kinda wanna roll your eyes at what people say, but.. I’m getting all distracted. I just said what I said, y’know? You don’t have to be so.. like that about things. I mean.. maybe you’re right, but it’s just kinda embarrassing to have to go get help. Maybe it’s the best way to do things, but yeah.. Just letting off steam helps too. What? Maybe it’s a crazy dream, but don’t they always say to dream big and all that? It’s.. we’re young and the sky’s the limit or whatever they say. 

It’s an interesting suggestion, thanks babe. I think we just need to give more of a heads up about what people can expect when trying out for the Cheerios, they haven’t even made it to the master cleanse yet. I don’t think some of them are going to make it fully on the squad.

Maybe that’ll help. I mean.. I guess I wouldn’t expect some of things that you guys have to do for Cheerios, either. Especially that cleanse thing. Like, are you sure that’s.. legal to make you guys drink? It seems kinda sketchy and everything. I don’t want you to be sick. 

Yeah, for sure! It's not like I have my kit out here at college or anything, but I still like to jam and stuff when I go home to visit mom. It's pretty lucky home is so close. Drumming is like.. therapy, you get to beat the crap out of something, but no one gets hurt. Win/win and all that.

If you don’t want my thoughts, don’t share your thoughts on social media. It’s pretty simple. And, if you’re in need of help with something specific, I’m sure the univrsity has a tutoring center. Or, have you spoken to your professor? Hard work and effort yield more positive results than complaining about your situation. If it’s your dream, you won’t give up. Focus on that. What is the dream, specifically?

Yeah, I guess. But that’s just how we all express ourselves and stuff anymore, social media and instant gratitude, or whatever the word is. You’re saying you’ve never complained about anything in your life? I don’t believe that, man. I’ve been workin’ on this for, like, hours. I’m not a slacker or anything. I just.. want to do this by myself. I want to make it work. Just wish it came easier, that’s all. Uh.. well, the dream is, like, mega corporation CEO. On top, in charge. All that.

Math is almost everywhere, especially in business without it nothing would work in a logical way. Sure math isn’t the most thrilling thing to do but it is used in your basic everyday life and it’s even used in the entertainment field, if math isn’t your strong field maybe try something that’s a bit more you . 

Yeah, I mean.. I guess it is kind of everywhere. It’s not like I can’t add and subtract and all that stuff, just this algebra is like.. really confusing, y’know? Sorry I’m rambling, I’m just all frustrated. But I can’t give up on this, I have to push really hard. I.. yeah, that’s it.

Au contraire, the summer sun did wonders for my tan, so, if anything, I’d say it improved me.

Y’know, it’s not that cool.. makin’ fun of people all the time. Doesn’t it ever get boring?

Math is inescapable, so I suggest getting used to is. Business is all about numbers- profits, profit margins, losses, expenses. If you aren’t interested in math you may want to look into another major, quickly. Perhaps Liberal Arts would be more your speed. 

Dude, I don’t really want a lecture. I’m just.. frustrated. My grades are.. pretty good, I guess. Just this lesson isn’t making all that much sense, so I gotta put in more time. I mean.. this is, like, my dream and stuff. 

Uhh.. no. Quinn is kinda like the sun or the stars or something, nothing could really go above that - there's not much of a point to keep looking when you've already got, like, the Super Bowl ring of girlfriends.
