But now with how his speech changed and his lack of recognition after the fact, I’m thinking it’s more of a sleeper-agent state with bugs being the activation.

If so, what caused him to be like that? Bon and Konekumaru both knew of his fear with bugs by at least the beginning of the summer camp and seemed pretty familiar with it.

And even though they were facing a giant bug and a bunch of Chuchiis were directly on his face, it didn’t make him act like this. He *did* say he just started running and seemed like he didn’t really know what was going on beyond a blind panic— but that’s different than forgetting being a bad ass as soon as the task was finished.

Okay! So this confirms that Yamantaka is only dangerous to Shima when he uses his powers but not when he summons him just to talk. It also confirms that Yamantaka considers himself a part of the temple! Shima has also officially taken on the “copy cat jack of all trades” trope! Question though that means that his moves/power sets aren’t originally his. Does that mean they’re Yamantaka’s that he teaches renzou or are they previous vessels creations? Do I smell another takezou flashback in the far away future?

We also found out that renzou can in fact be semi conscious and aware of what’s happening when Yamantaka pilots his body so they’ve fused to each other quite well it would seem. That being said the last time Shima used crimson lotus he passed out once his adrenaline ran dry. And Not only has he used it and multiple other attacks more than twice in barely 4 hours, he’s also been beaten the crap out of. I hope this doesn’t mean he’s out entirely for the center fight but I do think he might be a little handicapped after this. The black flame also burns away memories which is why users of the armumahel crystals can’t use them for so long.. is shima immune since he’s contracted to Yamantaka or does using him so often only burn away small memories and at a slower pace? Maybe not since we’re getting a ton of flashbacks lol.

Side note as well. I don’t think Homare is dead. I know there are some people who want her dead (looks at Reddit) but I don’t think that’s shima’s style. Let me theory craft a little, I think his crimson lotus will weaken her but he’ll tune it down (like he did with Izumo in the Illuminati arc) so that she stays alive but with her spirit burnt away. Not to where she’s a husk or anything but enough so that she can’t use her black flame abilities anymore. Then she’ll get all mad and bring up the Illuminati code of finishing off their enemies and he’ll brush it off like “I don’t kill girls uwu.”

I realllllyyy want koneko and bon and kuro to come back and pick him up, maybe all 3 can destroy the pillar together while the myoda recover from shock but those are just my wants lol. Then it’ll be a race to the center and whatnot. I do think we’ll see rins group again on the final pages or so of the next chapter. I think the last chapter of this arc which will switch us back to rins group completely will release in December and then it’ll be the center fight new arc.

I need whoever is in charge of the wiki to update his abilities list so I can see what the Fire Life Streaks do. Was it the initial explosion when they switched or does it act as a shield or even a healing power? Man I need the next one soon.
