âIf you love yourself and have confidence in yourself then youâre good enough just as you are.â
better with you.
pxlimpsest:
the younger girl gets an eyeroll as a response. sex was one thing; this, on the other hand, was another - much deeper, and an entirely new feeling. hwami, truthfully speaking, was scared (shook to her fucking core). but as appearances had, she remained composed. simply because that was the kind of person she was - proud and unperturbed. something she currently was not. hands were on her lap, smoothing out her sundress, before anxious fingers tapped at her knees.
the part about unprotected sex was not far from the truth, though. but that was a story for another day. a completely different person situation. girls didnât need condoms, did they?
âcalm down, itâs not that,â she began, giving scarlett the look, eyebrows raised and expression serious. however, hwami found it hard to keep the facade going as, this time around, scarlett was a friend, and not a mere co-worker or staff (unlike everyone else). âiâŚâ
it was hard to admit. her shoulder lifted in an attempt to shake off the apprehension. this was scarlett. it wasnât like this girl would judge her, regardless. (unprotected sex aside.) âi⌠like someone.â it came out almost a whisper, as if testing the waters, to check if the right words were chosen. finally, a wide grin made its way to glossy, red lips. âi like someone, scar.â a shaky breath. âi really like him. and⌠maybe he likes me, too. i think. maybe. i like him.â
and that should be enough, right?
âgod, i had no idea how good it would feel to finally say that out loud.â
the expression hwami gave scarlett was familiar, it was all scarlett needed for her to know that this was something serious, something she shouldnât joke around. the younger merely shrugs her shoulder, doesnât says anything to retaliate. arming herself with little patience, she waited, eyes fully focused on the elder as she speaks.
hwami seemed to have a little difficulty with opening it up, and scarlett could not help but to sigh (she was never a patient person). the younger crossed her arms infront of her chest, pulling the last string of patience left in her.
but then when the beans were spilled, the younger finally understood why it was so difficult for her to say, to admit. but then the confession slowly sinks in to her and scarlett finds it hard to speak. first and foremost, it was difficult to process that someone caught hwamiâs eyes, let alone that she genuinely like someone. second, why out of all the people in the fucking planet, hwami had to spill the beans to her? doesnât she care about scarlett feelings?Â
feelings-- scarlett wanted to laugh it off. she still did not want to admit it despite the constriction in her chest. she sighed heavily, swallowed the lump on her throat. even swallowing was painful.
hwami liked someone. the words rang in her head, but no matter how much she despised it, she had to keep her façadeâcalm, collected, unaffected.
âwhoâs the unlucky guy?â she asked sarcastically. âare you even sure about that? god knows that it is so unlikely of you to even like someone genuinely.â scarlett honestly hated herself for asking more, hated herself that she had to keep a façade but then again she probably hated it the most to admit that she was getting affected by this sudden confessionâ fuck feelings, really.
âsince when?â

innocent minds. wheein&byulyi
scpphjc:
the water was cold in her throat as wheein took a sip. her forehead was moist from sweat, her fringe like a little illustration of its own train system, lines intersecting and going their way. around her were trainees too, just as of a mess. some faces were familiar, some were new, but there was this hush to act like long time friends. wheein struggled at that but tried. she was, however, familiar with another trainee. byulyi. hyejin long went home, successfully impressing the trainers with the color of her voice and technique.
by the water dispenser, half empty paper cup in her hand, wheein built a little world of her own. she was confined by walls of her thoughts, of occurrences that happened recently. she remembered the sequence vividly, like a dream that she could recall with great detail. âi will sponsor you. youâre a good catch, your voice is beautiful. trust me with this,â while in her made up reality, trainees around her started packing up. goodbyes were bade with waves, smiles of relief making their face. finally, they can rest after hours and hours of repeated choreography. it was after the door was closed shut again that wheein realized she had been chewing on the edge of the paper cup.
everyoneâs gone except byulyi.
âeveryone went home?â wheeinâs voice was tired, both from dancing and singing. wheein disposed the paper cup then walked to settle beside byulyi who was leaning against the mirror wall. both their backs against the mirror, wheein rested her head on byulyiâs shoulder. eyes stared ahead at nothing, silently going back to the world she had constructed earlier. maybe she should bring byulyi with her.
âhow long do you think we can do this, unnie?â
trainee life wasnât easy. byulyi was dead beat tired everyday, dance practice was intense and draining, not to mention she had vocal lessons in the morning. she had to wake up early every morning, no matter what time she goes to sleep. she had little time for outside activities, barely meet anyone outside their company. it was really tiring, but byulyi was motivatedâ byulyi wanted to chase her dreams. she chose this life, she wasnât going to give up. not now, not tomorrow, never. she wasnât going to let everything go into a waste.
her train of thoughts were always like this, especially during their spare time. her body wasnât functioning much as she was dead beat tired from a five hour dance practice. byulyi decided to stay, the floor kept her ass cold, but she honestly didnât mind, not when her feet was killing her. she wasnât going to leave anytime soon, not even the sight of everyone leaving would make her leave just yet.Â
the voice echoing in the room started byulyi, it was when she realized wheein was there. her eyes blinked as she looked at wheein, seemingly lost (she was spacing out). âi guessâŚ.â she answered hesitantly. her voice cracked, probably because of the long hours of vocal lesson she took earlier. wheein looked tired, just as tired as byulyi. she wanted to feel bad for her but a part of her was relieved. she wasnât alone in this, they were on the same boat.
she wasnât alone, byulyi repeated the words in her head over and over again.
the words echoing in her head stopped, again, wheeinâs voice startled her. it was when she noticed the similarity in their stateâ both staring at nothing, back against the mirror, dead beat tired from long hours of practice. the question thrown at her was something byulyi had thought about. it was the exact question she always ask herself every night before drowsiness overtake her. she didnât know wheein was just thinking about the same thing she had in her train of thoughts. another gush of relief washed over her. byulyi opened her mouth to speak, to answer, but nothing comes outâthe older doesnât know how to answer.
a sigh slowly passed through her nostrils, she gave the younger a contemplative look. âas long as we can.â her voice cracked again, this time however, because of uncertainty. byulyi looked away, her heart heaves just by thinking about it, she felt despair despite wheein kept her accompanied. she restrained herself from tearing up despite her eyes being sweaty.
byulyi was the older, she had to be strong for wheein. she need not to cry right now, not in front of wheein.
âdo you not have faith in usâin yourself? do you have doubts that you can make it?â byulyi craned her head, forced a smile, palm caressing the youngerâs shoulder for comfort. âdonât lose hope, wheeinie. iâm pretty sure the company didnât let us in for nothing. they mustâve seen something special in usâ in you.â she observed wheein and it was when she noticed there was something off about wheein, byulyi was worried.
âis there something bothering you, wheein-ah?â
sleepover.â moonbyul & wheein
scpphjc:
byulyiâs cute little attempt to keep her warm squeezed a laugh from wheein. eyes crinkled and dimple deepened, wheein appreciated the gesture despite making both of them quite uncomfortable; the distance made wheein swallow deeply. she was too close to byulyi, she caught the scent of byulyiâs skin right under her nose. walking to byulyiâs home hand in hand felt like a bright sunny morning, skipping down the hill of flowers and butterflies and everything colorful. it was a nice feeling; holding byulyiâs hand was a very nice feeling. wheein flew.
byulyi kissed her head too. ah, wheein could travel the world like thisâ travel the world with byulyi. as long as sheâs holding byulyiâs hand, and byulyi likewise, wheein will kick the great wall of china down with her bare feet. standing on her toes (cursing byulyiâs height at the same time), wheein pressed a haste kiss on byulyiâs cheek along with a soft âi missed you too.â
back home, finally warm and cozy, she greeted byulyiâs mom as if her own mother. everyone was smiley and wonderful and it felt just like home. the small place provided enough chances for communicationâ like real peopleâ unlike wheeinâs home. maybe having no siblings contributed to the loneliness back at jeonju. mom and dad had jobs too. still awkward in anotherâs home, wheein was quick to stand near byulyi again. fingers clung to the hem of byulyiâs shirt, not wanting to stray too far from her just yet. she just arrived anyway.
âwhat are we having for dinner? ah, i missed your momâs cooking unnie! i canât wait to have them,â with her smile, the crooked little tooth appeared. it was then that wheein saw byulyiâs hand vacant. the urge of filling those gaps up started growing in wheein and in no time, after stolen glances at byulyiâs relatives, wheein hooked her index finger around byulyiâs. why was she so conscious? friends hold hands, right?
so she did. fingers tangled together, palms pressed together, but still safe behind byulyi and between her stomach. she liked holding byulyiâs hands; they were soft, and smooth, and everything nice in the world. her mom wouldnât mindâŚâŚ. right? maybe she will⌠maybe with how wheein brushed her thumb back and forth byulyiâs hand. maybe her mother will mind wheein playing with her fingers, index pressing mischievously at the length of byulyiâs middle finger.
even if she did, no oneâs stopping the young woman. they donât have to see her do it, anyway.
upon noticing wheeinâs little gesturesâ the fingers that clung onto her shirt along with the little distance between them, byulyi knew by then that wheein was awkward (who wouldnât be, anyway?). byulyi didnât strayed too far, kept the younger accompanied throughoutâ she didnât want to make her feel left oiut after all. wheein looked so small behind her which made byulyi sigh. it was plainly adorable.
âkimchi stew, tteokbokki and galbi.â a pause. the older leaned a bit closer and lower. âmy mom decided to cook a lot after knowing youâre visiting.â she whispered lowly, not wanting her parents â especially her mom â to hear. there was shyness in byulyiâs laugh. âi guess she really likes you.â that was byulyiâs last words before she leaned back.
the fingers tangled on hers surprised byuyli, but it was welcomed nevertheless. she assumed wheein was trying to find some sort of comfort in her hand. byulyi squeezed her hand tightly, wanting to give her more comfort. she stole glances at the younger subtly, then back at her relativesâ she couldnât help but to felt a little nervous. it shouldnât be a problem right? friends do held hands, so why would she be nervous? she doesnât really know why, her heart was beating rapidly.
it didnât stopped her from holding wheeinâs hand.
it was a good thing that everyone was busy preparing the table, their tangled fingers left unnoticed. soon enough, she heard her name being called by her siblings. tugging the youngerâs hand, byulyi led wheein to the table, got herself a seat on the far end and left another seat vacant beside her for guest. itâs not long after her siblings occupied the vacant seats. lastly, her father and mother had got themselves a seat once they served the last meal on the table.
âplease eat as much as you can, wheein-ssi.â byulyi heard her mother spoke, and just by then, silence started to engulf the air, everyone started to indulged themselves in the served meals. byulyi havenât gotten herself anything just yet, instead, she gathered some meals for wheeinâ a bowl of stew and tteokbokki, a few meats and some side dishes, she placed them on wheeinâs plate, gestured her to eat them. byulyi got herself a few meats and a bowl of stew after, and there she indulged herself. silence continued to ensue as she ate.
âhow was your vacation, wheein-ssi? our byullie here told us you went home to jeonju? how come you went all the way here to visit us a few days before your vacation ends? did you missed our byullie that much?â the last line made byulyi choked on her food (despite it being true). byulyi ended up coughing out. she heard everyone laughed. âmom!â byulyi whined. she only heard a shush as a response. byulyi sighed as she continued to eat. her cheeks were crimson red.
âkidding aside, perhaps, something happened back in jeonju?â
despite byulyiâs flustered state, she was curious with how wheein answers. byulyi side glanced wheein as she ate, she couldnât help but to smirkâknowing fully well the reason behind wheeinâs visit.Â
help them. seulhee&maegan
scpphjc:
there were traces of hiccups and crying and sniffling and everything sadness and fear on seulheeâs face despite the baby finally out of her grasp. maybe seeing the baby still in front of her kept her anxiety still. seulhee pressed her cheek with her fingers to dry her face; foundation doesnât stick long when there were tears. the baby calmed down as seulhee did the same, both noses still red from the crying.
maegan held the child like she had magic.
âit stopped crying!â was her quick outburst. the loud voice shocked the baby of course, the ends of the infantâs mouth anchoring down. âshit,â the curse was soon covered by her hand, taking note of speaking in a calmer tone next time. âitâŚâ seulhee realized she had no clue of the babyâs gender. before she could even think of something, the bell rang indicating another customer. instructing one of her waiters to tend for them first, seulhee had to shout again. work on that first! instantly, the child wailed again. seulhee saw how it clung to maegan, little fingers tugging on maeganâs clothes. âgoddammit,â
the more seulhee observed maegan, the more the picture fit. the baby clung to her with evident familiarity. probably maeganâs gentleness âbut⌠i canât leave it here. no one would bring a child home,â pacing in front of maegan, back and forth in a little circle, seulhee held her chin with her fingers. the clicking of her heels were loud in the kitchen, the tiles almost making her slide down onto her ass. âlisten, just for tonight.â by this time, seulhee stood right across maegan with her index aiming at the baby like it was a mere figurine.
âiâll⌠iâll help you. wait for me til i close this place, okay?â or maybe i should close early, were her hushed words when her eyes landed on the babyâs, finally calming down again. âi donât think anyone would come back for her anymore,â it was gut feelingâ the baby being a girl. but she could be wrong. seulhee just had the comfort on regarding the baby as a female. âiâm sorry. just wait outside with that and iâll make your order, okay?â
to seal the deal, seulhee strutted forward and landed a quick peck on her customer. with a wink on top. âthanks, youâre my hero!â
âit did?â maegan seemed just as surprised and quickly, she looked at the baby to make herself believe. the realization finally dawned to her, maegan couldnât help but to coo at the baby, she doesnât know why but it made her happyâ proud even. she looked at seulhee, eyes bragging about her achievement but then her achievement was pretty shortlived. maegan could not help but to glare at seulhee upon hearing the wail again. âdamn it, look what youâve done.â she whined.
maegan went back to sway on her feet once more, wanting to calm the baby again. âthen what are you going to do about itâŚ?â a pause. something wasnât right, maegan felt uncomfortable about it. âherâŚ.. himâŚ.?â she added with uncertainty. it was ridiculous, if she had her hands free, she probably wouldâve palmed her face by then. âgod damn it, why the hell didnât you take a peek to know whether itâs a girl or a boy, seulhee.â she eyed the woman with disbelief.
the annoying wail of sound was gone by then, and maegan could only sigh in relief. a wide grin lingered in her lips as she looked at seulhee, obviously teasing (again, bragging about her ability to make the baby shut up and calm, something seulhee seemed to lack).
maegan was hesitant to agree, but then she couldnât really protest when the baby finds comfort in her arms (and not in seulheeâs). she left the kitchen with a sigh of frustration, going back to her usual seat. she was honestly confused what seulhee was going to do about her. (should she take a peek to see if it was indeed a her?) nevertheless, she decided to wait. after all, there was no way she could take the baby home, aloneâ people would probably think it was her own!
she wasnât going to take the baby home, maegan repeated the words in her head. hopefully she stay true to her words.
stuck like glue.â maegan & seulhee
it was six in the morning when maegan got out of her house, sporting black skirt, white blouse tucked in underneath a black blazer. her tie was already neatly done, like the good student that she is. maegan always made sure she was all set when she leaves her home-- a habit of hers that she maintained throughout her highschool years.
her attendance was pretty good, all thanks to seulhee-- the girl was an early bird and since maegan pretty much likes her company, she doesnât really have qualms about seulheeâs habit of dragging her to school at such an early hour. in a span of two months, maegan got used to it, everything became a routine. she wakes up at five, prepares for an hour, leaves her home by six, walks to seulheeâs home to fetch the girl. the two of them goes to school, arrives before seven. from there, they had an hour to spare before school starts.Â
it was exactly six fifteen when maegan arrived to seulheeâs home. too early-- five minutes early to be exact, she wasnât surprised to not see seulhee greeting her outside. she decided to stand there and wait.
five minutes and seulhee was still nowhere to be found. maegan peeked through the window on the second floor. the older managed to catch a glimpse of the younger brushing her hair. swiftly, maegan pulls out her phone to type.

sleeping through alarms ââ hwami & maegan
jamjcm:
@pyrxflies gets a closed starter from hwami.
hwami never thought the phrase what doesnât kill you, makes you stronger, would ever be something close to her heart until now. she had always seen herself as strong, someone admirable ( she had an ego as big as can be, after all. ) and even through the cries, shrieks, and the absolute terror she had witnessed â she had still ended up here. with her. and only her.
the new world was cold, and dark, and a complete mess. she couldnât bother to clean it up if the only two humans alive were those two. â as far as she was concerned, anyway. every morning, the former fighter opens her eyes to the musky smell of the aftermath. everything is different now. the whole world belongs to her and maegan â literally.Â
but, she canât help but wonder if it would have been better off if she died.
nbsp; Â Â she tries not to think about her family, her friends, and even the strangers hwami never thought to care about until she had watched the most innocent of faces become torn apart in the midst of the chaos. she was the ruler of the planet earth now. she had to keep herself together, not for herself, but for maegan.
finding food wasnât too hard. as a child, she probably would have been grateful sheâs able to sneak into grocery stores and just take whatever she wanted. carrying as many things she could handle into her backpack, hwami made her way to the safe underground bunker that had saved her and maeganâs life just last week. she hasnât broken down, yet. she just needs to make sure the only surviving human aside from her is alright. â bon appetit, maâam. â she greets as she plops the bag in front of her. â  i got everything you said you wanted. plus, a little extra for me. â she was only doing this for her own sake, for selfish reasons, she wants to tell herself. she definitely doesnât care about the other girl. â  you okay? you should rest. we were out all night last night. âÂ
everyday was a struggle, a struggle of survival. sometimes, maegan likes to think that she merely got lucky. oftentimes, maegan thinks itâs meant to be â there was a reason for everything, for being the only surviving person from her household. and while she thinks about, it gives her some source of hope, some strength to keep going. her parents did not died for nothing. maegan was going to make it worthwhile.
maegan makes sure to keep her sanity in check, there were no room for mental breakdowns at times like these, not when sheâs still struggling to keep herself alive and away from the undead.
it was hard at first, living alone and keeping herself composed. oftentimes, she wanted to break down, loneliness seeping in through her â she hated it, hated that she were alone to struggle like this. it was much better if she had someone else with her, someone who shares the same pain, someone that understands her, a companion. her struggles wouldnât be too bad.
maegan couldnât be more grateful when she had met hwami that one time, and from there one, she decided to stick with her for as long as she could. life wasnât so bad after that.
itâs not been so long since they found this bunker that kept them safe for days, maegan couldnât have been more thankful that they survived that night. she broke her ankle from a previous run, but she was pretty lucky to find some bandages around the said bunker. from the looks of it, someone else mightâve sheltered here before them. who knows what happened to them. hopefully they were alive, if not then they better not experience the same fate as them.
maybe it would be best if they were to find another shelter sooner or later, once maeganâs ankle heals.
night became worse with her broken ankle, she felt pain most of the time, pain killers were scarce so she couldnât possibly take them all the time. she only have two left and she could only hope her ankle heals after a few days, if not, she would have to suffer from pain. she doesnât want to think about it.
âiâm alright.â she answersâan obvious lie, she was far from alright, she was just quite good with enduring the pain but she doesnât want hwami to worry. âthank you for the food, though.â she smiles albeit forcibly and itâs not long after when sheâs already indulging herself with the can of beans and some chips that she requested.
âi think we might have to move somewhere else soon.â maegan opens up, barely coherent as she was still chewing some of the beans in her mouth. âi hear grunts at night, from the outside when i canât sleep.â she gulps. âi think the undead could sense our presence.â she whispers.
fated to meet again â maegan & bitna
pxlimpsest:
parties are okay, generally speaking.
a year into university, and bitnaâs social circle still hasnât grown much. given, sheâs not really fond of socializing amidst loud music. she prefers personal conversations over having to yell over loudspeakers. however, her roommates seem to enjoy the night life that college life often brought about, and thus have the tendency to drag bitna along. more often than not, she would decline, but the tone they used and pleading eyes told bitna two things: 1) Â they think sheâs turning into a recluse, which means 2) that she should hang out with more people.
one more than the other, but both are definitely not far from the truth.
of course, as usual, bitna came overdressed (or under, depending on how one looks at it) - in a floral sundress, dark blue splattered with pink roses. a purple, knit cardigan is a little out place for a party, as she was told earlier, but she refused to go unless they granted her that one thing. regardless, while socially outgoing, bitna remained at the side of the venue, chatting with whoever chatted her up (she has a lot of friends, just not enough reason and energy to see them on most days), all the while thinking of an escape route toward the kitchen.
once inside, bitna isnât able to suppress a sigh of relief. her hair is in a disarray, bun loose now and bangs framing the sides of her face. which is just as well, her new look - smudged eyeliner and lipstick halfway gone - matches the current vibe. she shrugs her cardigan off as she walks over to the counter, ready to grab a drink, only to stop in her tracks once she looks up. her gaze meets familiar ones - reminiscent of sunsets and stars. the name balances at the tip of her tongue, ready to spill between red lips, but bitna decides to make sure by closing the remaining gap between them.
she stands before the other girl, just as enchanting in this cramped space as she was by the spacious shore. finally, carefully, as if cherishing the second it leaves her mouth, a name she craved to say for so long, : â⌠maegan?â
the moment her name spills between red lips, a smile lingers in her lips. she couldnât even hide it, not when her heart was fluttering-- oh how she missed that voice!Â
maegan nods, smile still etching in her lips as she did. âyou still remember me?â a vague question--  but maegan doesnât want to add anything further. maybe it was just a fling after all, maybe bitna doesnât remember anything more than her name, or maybe she chose to forget. there were no goodbyes way back.
maybe it was best to leave it all in the past and start anew?
she was lost for words, eyeing the shorter figure with a contemplative look. she wanted to ask so much questions, what happened back then--- did she ran away? she asked the question countless times back then. did she regret? the question rang inside her head and her chest began to heave.Â
maegan shakes the thought off, doesnât want to think about them anymore-- she was afraid bitna would say yes. maybe it was best not to ask.
âyouâre here. at haeundaegu.â she states slowly, as if she, herself could not believe it. âwow.â she mouths, her smile growing wider by the second. âi never thought iâd see you again. you look-- a lot better (without me), prettier.â her smile was teasing as the compliment spills out of her lips.Â
she doesnât move, nor does she want to, her beer left untouched on the cold surface of the counter.
her eyes scans around, and she moves sideways to leave some space for the other. âwanna sit?â she asks, then a pause after. âmind keeping a loner freshman accompanied for the night?â maegan laughs.

silent exchange. seulhee&minhee
scpphjc:
how do puppies communicate? with their eyes. puppies had this way of smiling, although science couldnât really confirm such gestures of their face. their eyes oozed of happiness, their tiny tongues dangling on the side. puppies can do eye smiles too! and as seulhee continued to observe the barista on the other side of the counter, the more seulhee struggled not to smile. sheâs adorable. good lord, are you seeing how cute she was? seulhee didnât view her exactly like a puppy, but the adorableness was impeccable. seulhee had the same urges when coming across a puppy; she wanted to squeeze minhee, maybe give her hair a ruffle, rub behind her ears, but minhee was no puppy. feeling these to someone, and not a puppy, might be offensive.
âoh, you know, maybe i should have breakfast. get me your personal favorite.â time slowed down the longer her eyes laid on minhee. the clock was futile; whenever she spent hours in the cafe, time seemed to malfunction, like she just arrived when in fact the sun had long set. or maybe their wall clockâs batteries were draining. the hands were moving slower than usual. seulhee was certain the previous scenario was more likely than the latter though. fingers hidden in the sleeves of her sweater, she dug through her pocket for the payment. seulhee held the wallet with tiny hidden paws, the sleeve of her jacket hanging on the sides as she pulled the bills out. there was a reason why the sleeves of her clothes were always dirty.
back at her table, seulhee booted her laptop and started worked on her homework. supposedly, sheâll submit this today. seems like sheâll have to sacrifice a few classes for thisâ if only her professor wasnât such a⌠professor. engrossed on her assignment, seulhee inched closer and closer with squinted eyes. if the ghost who came out of tv screens lived in seulheeâs laptop, sadako, she would have been dragged in without struggle. sniffing, coughing, and groaning, seulhee started struggling. slumped on her chair, a small whine vibrated from her throat before glancing at the counter again.
she wanted to see what minhee was doing. you know, just to stall. but she didnât see her favorite waitress there.
minhee merely nodded, although there was uncertainty in her eyes as she punched her personal favoriteâwhat if she wouldnât like it? she pondered but decided to ask her later on. maybe minhee could even get a hint of what seulheeâs preference on food (she rarely get something to eat). Â
sweater paws was something seulhee probably liked, minhee thought. seeing as how she fancied wearing them all the time. she find it quite adorable, considering the studentâs small frame and short height. it suits her cute image.
everything seemed so cute about her.
itâs not long after when her coworker had taken over the counter and minhee was left to heed to the orders of her previous customers, including seulhee. the studentâs coffee was already finished in no time and while minhee waited for the club house sandwich (her personal favorite) that she heated on the microwave, she went inside the kitchen to get something, some freshly baked cookies she baked this morningâ would seulhee even like them?
soon enough, she was already going over to seulheeâs spot after handing out the orders of the customers before seulhee. with a tray in her both hands, she marched her way. her coworker was usually the one to call people out when their orders were done, but when itâs minheeâs turn, she make sure to just deliver it to them as she couldnât possibly call their names out. more work for minhee but honestly she doesnât mind, not when she could be able peek at what seulhee is up to, maybe even stall for a few minutes.Â
the barista placed seulheeâs coffee on her table, along with the sandwich she had offered, and some cookies as a freebie (she doesnât need to know minhee baked them). minhee had noticed the evident stress in seulheeâs face as she settled down on her spot. the barista couldnât resist to give her something to cheer her up.
homeworkâ she assumed, she was a student herself after all. minhee only snickered, hand slipping to pull out her sticky notes from her pocket. from there, she wrote a âgood luckâ on her note along with a drawing of a sun smiling, hand covering it so seulhee could not possibly take a peek. once done, she stuck in on the side of seulheeâs laptop screen, a dimpled smile in her face before she left her alone.

isnât it just great? being in the principal office, talking to a fucking authority while feeling her rut intensifying by the minute. minseo could not keep still, wanted to leave, to just run off and finish what she started. the principalâs voice was echoing loudly across the room, he doesnât seem so pleased with what minseo and hoseok did the other day. he was talking about detention and punishment, but minseo could barely keep her composure, her mind was elsewhereâyuna. sheâs everywhere, her scent was lingering in her nostrils, minseo could not forget her scent, the thought alone kept her underwear soakedârut, it was all over the place. the principal could probably feel it, hoseok could probably smell it, seeing as how he was giving her teasing glances. he was making fun of minseoâs rut, and minseo could not even give a fuck about it as her thoughts were filled with yuna.
yuna drove her insane.
the principal seemed displeased with the evident rut lingering in the room. âlook at the both of you. even inside this office all you think about is sex.â he merely glares at the both of them. minseo could not even look at him in the eye, afraid of getting caught in the act. the principal snorted, and soon enough he sent the both of them away, telling them to come back in a later time when theyâre done mating with someone, possibly a sarcastic remark but minseo like to think that the principal was just desperate to kick them out of the school.
whatever, as long as she gets to see yuna now. minseo was about to run off, to even leave hoseok behind since sheâs too desperate to finish where they left off but she stopped after hearing hoseokâs words. her chest heaved, a horrified look evident in her face.
âthank god thatâs over, iâve been itching to leave. yuna, should be in heat by now. i havenât seen her since morning.â
apparently she wasnât the only one in rut for one specific girl. minseo turned around only to find hoseok was about to leave, going into the other direction. her palms were sweaty, minseo felt her heart constricting as she walked back towards her companion. âyuna?â she repeated, hoping that she heard her wrong.
âyeah, you know her?â hoseok asked, seemingly surprised by the revelation. minseoâs eyes widened, nervously gulping before she continued. ânânot really, iâve heard her name.â she lied, but she didnât want to ensue a fight, not against her best friend, and definitely not outside the principalâs office.
âsheâs the omega i met the other day, my omega. iâll introduce her some other time.â
it felt as if the world crumbled, but minseo tried to keep herself composed. she gave him feign innocence as she spoke. âthe short girl with a dimpled cheek?â hoseok merely nodded before he left minseo behind. minseo heaved a sigh, digits curling into a ball of fist.
she did not have any plans to meet the omega anymore as she left.

lingeringthirst:
she didnât expect the blonde to completely ignore her. she thought she would jump out of fright seeing vivian but the girl literally looked at her and closed the door.
a giggle bubbled over her. âwhat an odd reaction.â
vivian contemplated on what to do next. whether to attempt another scare or leave her alone.
she looked tired, maybe sheâll do it in the morning. vivian willed herself to be invisible again. she wanted to snoop around the new girlâs things. it would give her a clue what this blonde does for a living.
she walked right through the closed door. she turned a corner to where the living room was and saw the woman sleeping on the couch. she neared her and bent down. her cheeks were fluffy and her lips were a bit small but plump. vivian noticed the womanâs long eyelashes and she was mesmerized.
she stopped herself from staring any further, she was well aware that no oneâs going to see her being an absolute creep but she needed to snap out of it.
she moved away and found the womanâs bag, there she saw an id. it was like she saw hope for the first time in a long time.
the womanâs name was alexis and she was a fucking police officer. that explains the demeanor of the blonde, the way she carried herself screamed discipline. vivian should have guessed.
âshe can help me find out my killer.â she said to herself.
she paced across the room with her hands on her hips, contemplating what to do next. this can change everything.
she was getting impatient. vivian canât wait till the morning. she forced herself to became visible again and shouted âwake up alexis!â they werenât properly introduced yet for her to call her by her first name but this wasnât the time for social norms.
vivian crossed her arms and glared at the sleeping blonde. âwake the fuck up!â
was she dreaming? probably.but why does the girl looking at her on her dream looks oddly familiar?
but then she disappearedâinto the void and the next thing she knew is that she was jolting awake, sweat trickling her forehead, eyelids left ajar. âwâwhatâ her voice was soft and groggy, face evidently lost and she stared at the familiar woman, the same person who appeared in her dream. is this another dream? a dream within a dreamâ wait what?
âhuh?â she murmured, looking at the woman infront of her. itâs not long after alexis was slapping herself. âiâm still dreaming, how do i get out of this dream.â she murmured. soon enough, her vision wasnât blurry, she could see her new room clearly, could see the woman clearlyâ the same woman from the bathroom earlier.
could it be?
âwâwho are you!?â she screamed once realization hit her. it couldnât be possibly a coincidence. âwhat do you want from me!?â she yelled, a horrified look in her face and she inched backward until her back hits the edge of the couch.
a loud thud echoed in the room. alexisâ ass is planted on the floor. she winced in pain.
âi canât believe it.â she whispered to no one in particular, seemingly astonished by the realization. she was seeing a ghostâan actual ghost! it was like an achievement for the detective, doing something not everyone can do. not everyone can see them, surely enough, she was the chosen few.
was it even an honor for her to see one? thereâs a price to pay for sure, and she wondered what it isâwhy her out of all the people.
a cough suddenly echoed in the room. alexis kept her composure before she could even. âseriously, what do you want from me?â she asked, palm soothing her aching back and ass.

opcque:
hyesu drags her hands across her face, exasperated sigh barely audible past her fingers. âi ask myself that every day, trust me. as much as i want to quit this fucking job, i need a source of financial stability and they promised me if i do good, theyâd find me other places to work at. like, genuinely good places where i can write real things. so iâm just staying for the connections and the money.â she wishes it didnât have to be like this, really. âand maybe for the sex experience from other people.â she snorts, not even able to take herself seriously. she could care less about sex. the stories though? sometimes, they were pretty hilarious.Â
âit doesnât matter if iâve never experienced it i justâŚneed answers so i can reach the deadline. otherwise iâm fucked and not in the good kind.â hyesu hesitates before scooting over, laptop peeled open on her lap and fingers hovering over they keyboard. she opens her mouth, wanting to reiterate the questions but she finds herself almost embarrassed to even speak. god, why was talking about sex so awkward? âum. let me justâŚâ she pulls up the questions onto her screen before jabbing at it. âletâs start with that one?âÂ

maegan merely nods, not bothering to ask further upon noticing how hyesu looks a lot stressed just talking about it, it must be so difficult for her but then again, she does make a point. it would benefit her in the long run â connections would definitely do her well in her field. maegan could totally understand that. the mention of sex experience got her snickering â unsure whether hyesu means it or not. either way, it was totally hilarious coming from hyesuâs mouth.
sheâs practically contradicting herself, considering how she doesnât seem to be even interested with sex to begin with, which explains why she havenât experienced it yet.
a sigh escapes past her nostrils, and maegan looks at hyesu with disbelief. âbut iâm not always there for you to answer it, you canât really expect everyone to be there for you. sooner or later youâll ran out of resources and youâre gonna be fucked for realâŚ..â a pause. ânot in a good way.â she added, a lame joke but still she finds herself laughing at it.
itâs not long after she calms down, and she could only thank god that she already got tired from laughing, if not, sheâll practically be rolling her ass off on the floor by now. the question was ringing loudly in her head once again, it was too funny just like the first time she heard it. this is probably why maegan doesnât find these sex education magazines fancy, the ridiculous articles, questions and segments never failed to make her laugh.
