Today I made these little flower rings. I always seem to break my rings so making little flowers out of scrap fabric was an easy way to fix the problem. Here I go…
Cut 12 small circles from any fabric of your choice (I used a 10 cent piece as a template).
Double thread a sewing needle and create a strong knot at the end.
Fold the fabric circles into quarters.
Insert the sewing needle through the corner of the folded fabric and move it towards the knot.
Continue this until all 12 circle have been threaded.
Once all fabric is threaded make a circle by inserting the needle in the first fabric circle and secure. The end result should look like the one in the ninth photograph.
Using a hot glue gun, glue a bead in the centre and then glue the flower to a ring.
And that’s it! Hopefully, that makes sense! These little flowers are so versatile. Different beads can be used in the centre and the flowers can be used for things like earrings or decorations. The black and white one didn’t turn out as well as the red one but overall, they’re quick, inexpensive and cute. x
