You Don't Even Know What Strength Is!

BUT I COME BEARING A NEW RWBY THEORY THAT WAS BROUGHT UP BY MY FRIEND WHILE WE WERE WATCHING RWBY.

So I know nothing about gems or the meanings of shit, but my friend is like all up into that shit. And as we watching Volume 5 Episode 6, she regarded Raven’s character design. Specifically the four chains that she wears. 

Apparently the necklaces she’s wearing are red coral necklaces, which are believed to be magical healthy baby charms. If that’s the case, and Yang is her only child, why is she wearing three red instead of one? If this is true, it can be assumed that Raven Branwen had more than one child. 

What’s worse about this theory though... The black one, is thought to stand of a deceased child. Do you all know the one deceased child in Raven’s life? 

The Spring Maiden. 

The one before her. 

Which could go one of two ways. 

Either Raven Branwen had a second daughter that inherited the maiden powers. Whom she killed to save her life. 

OR

Raven Branwen thought of that child as her own, and now carries around the burden of her death as a reminder of what she’s done.

“Do you think I could make a living in porn? I’m so tired of making coffee, Yang.” Prompto groaned as he threw himself back on the shared couch, one arm draping dramatically over his face. 

Yang thought she had the control, she was almost positive that she was okay. That this was okay. She’d taken precautions, she’d fretted that whatever Salem had done---- Ruby had promised her it was okay. That she was fine. 

But standing there in that moment, it was like something switched in her brain, like something was trying to take some sort of control of her. She stumbled back, and because of the nature of their meeting--- Blake chased after her. 

She never let herself lose her temper in sparring matches, but yet her eyes blazed the brilliant red, and---- She struck without much thought. A hard punch to the chest followed by a three shots fired directly into her partner’s chest. 

When she looked back up at Blake it was with violet hues as the woman fell. “No--- No--- No!” 

It was reassuring to hear, but Ruby and Weiss’ words did bear a pang of guilt to her gut. It wasn’t about her, but she had to be sure her presence wouldn’t hurt Yang even more. Even though Blake hadn’t been there, she hated to see Yang hurt, and broken. 

With a soft smile, Blake rubbed her cheek and pushed the hair out of her eyes. “You’re right. We all should be here for her - she was there for us.” Her, specifically, her. Back at Beacon.  Blake silently excused herself to hand up her coat. 

“I know it’s unlocked, I was asking for permission.” He jested from the other side of the door, before clearing his throat and slowly opening the door and striding in with his hands stuffed in pockets, before taking a seat at the end of her bed. 

He could lecture her, but where would that get them? Yang knew him too well to know that he wouldn’t, and he knew her too well to know that it just woudn’t work. Instead, Qrow offered a sigh, and a sympathetic glance. “How long have you been cooped up in here?”
