Let Him Burn

{~ℒ  Despite all the prepping and mediating he’s done prior to coming out here, there is still a small pit of anxiety wringing his stomach into knots. Still, his face is straight, expression set and conviction unshaken. He knows why he does this, this is going to be the only chance they have at finding out what Shredder is up to, as well as make sure his family is left alone…for as long as possible. 

Having memorized where they went after they escaped made it easy to locate Shredder’s lair. He may have been out of it but he wasn’t so out of it that he wouldn’t recognize the building he’d been essentially tortured in for three days. He takes several deep breaths, steadying himself before he moves in like a shadow. Silent, quick, and efficient as he slips effortlessly behind all patrols to get inside. 

Clinging to the walls and slinking in the darkness as if it was a part of himself. Shifting until he locates the one person he’s been looking for. Eyes narrow as his snout wrinkles, stilling all anxieties as he can’t have any when he confronts Shredder. Keeping his eyes on the endgame, the goal and the entire reason for this, so whatever happens, will be worth it. 

Taking a deep breath, Leonardo leaps from his hiding spot in front of Shredder, eyes staring right up at him.

“Shredder, I’m here to offer you a deal.”  ℒ~}

A shadow stood at the panning window that oversaw the city, unmoving like a terrifying monument. The room had become silent and tense, alerting Saki to the presence of another and he stood in wait, preparing for them to strike. Armored shoulders stayed squared as swift steps were heard, stepping aside to dodge any possible attacks from the terrapin.

Though, he stops at seeing the blue clad. 

{ “ What deal could you possibly come up with that would even vaguely interest me, turtle? “ }

Can you hear it; the sounds of shadows in the distance. 

Whispers of terrors to come.

There are forces ready to stage a war.

“ Master Shredder, I didn’t mean for them to escape - “ 

Xever had kneeled before the towering figure seated in his throne, cuts and bruises apparent along his scales. Saki had been silently nursing the wounds Raphael and Leonardo had both dealt him, only just starting to heal due to his underlying illness.

“ Xever, do you think I would have allowed them to break free on accident? “ His tone was even as he leaned back. He had finished wrapping the wound on his shoulder when the aquatic mutant had burst into the room, disturbing him. Sure, it was a bit sooner than planned, but Saki had no intentions on keeping the turtles forever.

Not yet, at least.

“ Wh - you mean you wanted them to escape? “ Yellow eyes widened in surprise and confusion. Of course he didn’t understand, but had it been something Shredder wanted any of his minions to know about, he would have told them outright. Xever stood as Shredder did, putting the Kuro Kabuto back on and stared down at him.

“ Yes. Now, leave me; I have preparations to begin. “ 

Xever flinched and turned tail as he had been ordered to, pausing at the doors before leaving and staring back at Shredder’s shadowed figure with suspicion. The ex - street rat had no idea what the Foot Leader was cooking up and it caused some anxiety to churn in the pit of his belly.

♓  Leans in and taps on the microphone.

{~ℒ  Leo is going to respond to Raph when the door thunders open, a resounding bank echoing in the otherwise empty room. Sharp eyes narrow at the ones that enter the room, eyes sticking to Shredder and snout wrinkling heavily. The echo of Fishface’s voice is heard but his eyes never leave Shredder, of course if he looked at Fishface he would have seen the mutant grab the chain Raph was attached to give a hard yank. 

Eyes widen as pain shoots up from his shoulder as he is once more lifted off the ground. Though he bit down hard on his lower beak to try and suppress the pained moan that leaves his throat and tears that form on the corner of his eyes. It may be back in place, but that erase the fact that it still aches heavily with the strain and now the yank that lifted him before he subtly drops…still enough to cause pain. 

Despite this though, Leonardo glares at the man in the middle of he room, standing between them. The threat to finding the rest of his family twists in his stomach but he knows that his family is stronger and still capable even without him and Raphael, they’re all a team and even more important, they’re brothers. Trust and faith in each other is what makes them a good team. 

He learned that. 

“{ Our family is lot smarter and stronger then you think Saki. Don’t under estimate them, it’s how you’ve failed before…isn’t it?}”

Though his voice is laced with pain, there is an echo of pride and confidence in his voice. A soft smirk on his lips, him and Raph may have gotten captured, but his family will keep together and do what they can to help…without getting caught. 

Another shudder passes over him as the room is colder then he first thought, and the tension in his muscles make his injuries worse. The pain of his shoulder almost made him forget the wound on his side, but every shudder provides a subtle flair. 

Damn it.

Cerulean eyes turn to glower at Fishface, great, now they have a baby sitter.  ℒ~}

Raph’s got the sense to keep his mouth shut while Shredder enters and does his little spiel, and he lets every word stoke the fire building in his stomach. He’s sore and exhausted and he’s turning it all into fury, as usual. But at least this time it could be useful, right? Might get them out.

Now Fishface… heh. Having Xever be the first shift might be a blessing more than a curse. Raph lets a small sneer come over his face, fighting down the headache as much as he can.

“So, Sushi.. haven’t been eaten yet, that’s gotta be an improvement. Did they promote you from Barnacle Boy to Baby Squid yet?”

Come on. Come on. This is really gonna hurt Leo more than him but he is mad and he is going to take it out on someone, and the idea of watching the fish’s blood splatter over the floor was very intriguing.

Raph shifts his toes and then suddenly kicks off, spinning and throwing the kunai at Xever’s face. He might be chained but he can still manage this. As much as it hurts his head.

♓ Xever was about to give a snarky remark in reply to Raphael’s tired insult when the kunai almost came from nowhere and left a cut along the side of his face. A sneer formed on his jaw as a hand came up to wipe away the blood seeping from the wound.

“ Oh, so you want to dance, tortuga? “ Shredder only said they needed to stay alive, he never said that laying them on the concrete was out of the rules. Xever growls before darting towards Raphael, faking out his left side before bouncing off the wall behind him to yank on the chain connected to the turtle’s arms- hoisting the other higher up.

He crouches down with a dangerous smile.

“ Then let’s samba. “ 

He froze. 

That all too familiar voice, that dreaded nickname that was never welcome, the chill on his neck from the sound of armor. Jerking his head to the side, eyes wide open. Shooting upwards, taking a few steps back. Eyes momentarily glancing towards the egg in his arms, flicking back and forth between Shredder and unborn child. 

He couldn’t just place the egg in his pocket and run praying for the best. Either way he couldn’t run…And what’s worst due to the situation he couldn’t fight. There wasn’t anywhere safe to place the egg down quickly without it getting damaged in the fight; Especially if Shredder killed him here and now. Leaving the egg without a father and Raffae without a child. 

Even still he looked around, trying to figure out his options of escape that wouldn’t lead to a deadly fight or a tragedy. Each time emerald eyes landed back on Shredder. 

“….I….I have nothing ya want….Nothing of value to ya…I’m a not ninja anymore so beat it…”

“ You have something of greater value to me than you even know. “

Saki keeps a comfortable distance between them, not wanting to scare the turtle off, eyeing the way he shielded something in his arms. He had heard rumors of the ‘egg’, and of the tragedy that hit Raffae’s family. Maybe he felt a pang of familiarity with the other’s pain.

“ Wh - !? “ 

Then it hits him what just happened. 

“I have neon pink paint…And other neon colours.”

pulls out gun. "bitch."
