hanahaki meichae but both megan and yoonchae are coughing flowers and hiding it from each other because they think the other doesn't love them back
and when its time to go their last breaths are spent acknowledging the other's flowers and holding hands to arrange the petals.
"aren't they pretty, yoonchae? just like you..."
and they both cough flowers onto e/o and die

on their graves grew their respective flowers.making it only cherry blossoms is boringgggggg
oomf associated yoonchae to plumerias once, hawaii's flower, so she would be coughing plumerias and keeps them pressed in her sketchbook bc it reminds her of megan (which just makes her cough up more). same logic with megan, she coughs up mugunghwas and makes them into whatever handicraft she's good at (im thinking pouring resin and making bracelet/coasters?)
the tombstones lay next to e/o. the mugunghwa tree is big so it towers over them both like protecting them and the little plumeria tree wrapping around its lower trunk (imagine bright mac and pear butter's trees in mlp. they intertwine like that but bc of size difference meichae mention they cant do that. so the plumeria wraps around the mugunghwa instead.
one day yoonchae braided one of her plumerias into megan's hair, saying it'll "remind her of home"
(in reality she wanted megan to carry of piece of her wherever she went)
when megan asked how yoonchae got them she just smilled sadly and looked away
one day megan gives yoonchae one of the resin bracelets yoonchae shakes it, feeling the cool resin on her wrist. the mugunghwa does in fact remind her of home.
