          “hi, hendrix,” he murmured, staring hard at the boy’s chest. “um, was just planning on going to my room,” he nearly stammered, trying to turn and head back to his room. but hendrix was like a brick wall and the boy bit down on his lip to keep his huff inside. “can i please get past you?”

dan sat his final bag down, sighing softly. a part of him was glad to be settled in, but another part of him was worried. he always got anxious over a new school year. he decided he shouldn’t stay in his room the whole year and headed out towards the elevators. he pushed the down button, taking a step back. of course, who should walk off but hendrix. he tried to dip his head in order for the other to not notice him, but hendrix had some weird sixth sense and was always able to find him. dan bit his lip, mumbling a ‘hello.’

      when kai realizes it’s him and is crouching down to take his hands, rhett knew almost immediately that telling the truth wasn’t an option. he couldn’t even imagine how horrified he’d be, had he been in kai’s shoes — coming home from a long day of work just to see his lover had been harmed at the hands of another. his tongue licks along the split in his bottom lip, mostly testing to see if the bleeding had calmed a bit. it hadn’t. his hands still grip desperately at the others, though, using his frame as leverage to stand upright. there’s a hard swallow that chokes back all the things rhett wishes to say to kai, but he keeps it silent until he absolutely has to muster an explanation. the couple make it to the elevator, and after reaching the proper floor, their flat. once inside he makes no effort to linger around the other, knowing full well it’ll only raise questions. instead, he’s washing off his face with some warm water, watching as crimson streaked water fills the basin of their sink. all of the times rhett jumped through hoops to avoid the topic of his father being brought up, especially to kai, was all leading up to this moment. his father was an unpredictable wildfire that took down everything and everyone in his path. friend or foe, blood or water, no one was safe. bringing a clean towel to dry off his face and the fringe that had also managed to get wet, rhett’s slipping himself into the doorway of their bedroom. “i think i owe you an explanation.” whether or not it was going to be true… now that was a completely different topic. 

“As ready as I’ll ever be I guess.” the young female answered, shrugging her shoulders. Amelia hated being stared at, followed by paps wherever they were, swarmed by fans. If the money wasn’t so good she probably would have quit forever ago. “Is there somewhere in particular they want us?” she asked curiously.

she still couldn’t get over the fact that she never knew he lived on her floor, simply two doors away and she’d been living in the block for a few months now. no time like the present to get to know him, was the thought that repeated inside her head. the female watched on as his expression shifted to such happiness, almost as if she’d just told him he’d won the lottery - an indicator of how desperate he was for some silence and much needed peace. “sure, i mean…i’m up now so might as well help.” hazel reached her arms out to receive the baby from him, cradling the small wrapped up child in her arm. “hey lil’ lady…what’s all this crying about, huh…” the brunette looked down at her, gently rocking her from side to side in hope to end the cries coming from the child. a slight smile formed on her lips again as she watched all the facial expressions that were made, little arms wriggling within the blanket she was loosely wrapped in. “uh, do you wanna come in and you can sit down or?” hazel posed the question to the male, anything at this point would really be much better than standing in the middle of their hallway at three am, in her oversized top as pajamas, with a crying baby. again gently rocking and bouncing the small child, she once again addressed the little girl in that overly exaggerated tone that people always used with babies, hoping to get her to settle.

                 andrew smiled over at her as she took the baby from his arms. he sighed softly and rubbed his eyes, rubbing the sleep from the corner of them. as she got closer to him, he realized how pretty the girl was — making the tired grin stay on his lips. he hadn’t really been around to see who lived in the hallway besides the old lady who lived next to him. it was always drop olivia off at the nanny’s, go to work, pick her up from the nanny’s, eat dinner, go to bed, wake up because olivia is up, go back to sleep and repeat. the brunette was very attractive, even with being obviously a little bit tired from being up at three in the morning.

&.* BAMBI LOVED A good party every now and that – she loved how everyone was so willing to lose themselves; to alcohol, or drugs… or seduction. and even though the brunette preferred being on her own, and her job was left entirely out of her personal life, the young woman couldn’t help but throw her women ways into the play and have a little fun when she was granted some. she was on her way getting yet another drink, when she turned around on her heels with a newly filled red solo cup only to lay eyes on a blond guy staring at her. a smile tugged at her lips – he seemed vaguely familiar. though she couldn’t really put her finger on what exactly it was she knew him from. but she was bound to find out when she made it towards him, her hips swaying to the beat. “ hi there. “, she replied, her eyes locking with his ocean blue ones.

Amelia approached his apartment, stepping out of the car that had escorted her here. A nice Mercedes she might add. A small hand bag slung across her body, she saw the young man leaned against his front door, a typical cigarette hanging from his mouth. “Hey.” she greeted as soon as she got close enough, giving him a small wave. She was never sure how to greet him, so this was probably the safest route. 

he hasn’t showered and he smells like someone else. maybe this was a bad idea — coming home like this. coming home at all. but he can’t explain it — it’s like he almost craves the way camryn’s eyes narrow at him, almost craves the disappointment and anger etched on her face like it was made to be there. he wants to laugh, really, at how messed up that sounds. how every time he comes home like this and sees her crumpled face, he wants to say you fucking terrify me, so you deserve this. he should know, really, that she isn’t accountable for the way she makes him feel. but when has theo ever listened to anyone but himself? it doesn’t matter that it stings when she looks at him with every feeling under the fucking sun but love. hurting her feels like he still has the upper hand. so he cocks his head to side, eyes burning as he stares back at her. ❝ stop looking at me like that, christ. ❞
