At the very least, when I leave, you know that I am doing something related to my job. I have no clue of where you are, Fang. It worries me.”

“I can’t have you up and leavin’ just to follow me, no matter how much you’d want to, Raines.” Her gaze falls to the bar’s counter for a long drawn out moment, before she finally looks back up at him. “---Sometimes I just need to get away and have time for myself, y’know? No real reason to be worryin’ about me.”

“Banvald! Welp, you should get packed up – the cave is about two days away on foot, and there’s no way the airship is gonna’ fit inside so… We’ll uh just hoof it!” Not to mention, she really wasn’t up for Brother’s nonsense. Cid had actually been using the airship elsewhere anyway. “There are a ton of fiends up there, but that’s gotta’ mean the sphere is valuable, right?” She’s 100% optimistic. After-all it’d been a long time since Rikku had any legitimate finds.

“No way of knowin’ until you get there, missy. I’m sure it’ll at least be worth somethin’ though.” It was a good chance at the least. especially if no one had been able to get past the fiends to check. Luckily for the al bhed, she happened to be a master at dealing with monsters. Motioning for the younger girl to follow, Fang shoved open her front door and walked in to start gathering a few things they’d probably need on this trip. “You can come in if you want-- shouldn’t take me too long to pack a small bag.”

      “Aw, I was half-expectin’ some kinda’ lecture from ya’ Fangy!~” So she says, but there’s a relief fallin’ to her features as she closes in and slips her arms around her for a quick, tight hug. When she backs up she nods.       “Glad I found ya’ –              I thought you mighta’ upped and left while I was gone! Hmm….” Emerald optics fell to the ground as Rikku seemed to get a little lost in thought.       “I got a lead on something…             Pretty sure it’s a sphere but…” Focus comes back to the huntress.       “Seemed too dangerous y’know?             I thought I should come find some back-up but…            Yunie is busy, and Paine is too.            I wanted to ask you to come along!            I know you aren’t a sphere hunter,            but I sure know you can kick booty!”

“Heh, when you put it like that, how can I refuse?” She chuckles. “Of course I’ll go with ya. Someone needs to go and keep you out of trouble anyway.”

“Yeah, don’t remind me.” Came the retort, both to the comment of this being Gran Pulse, and his potential disappointment. However, it was a kind jest, a smile following it. So far, besides the monsters, he thought Gran Pulse was nicer than Cocoon. He heard her chuckle, panting lightly as he leaned forward, hands on his knees as he struggled to catch his breath. That was a rather difficult run for him, though the adrenaline had definitely helped. He was just glad that Fang hadn’t left him behind. That wouldn’t have been any good. He also knew that Fang wouldn’t do that. They were at least friends at this point, and she wasn’t the type to ditch a friend without good reason. And running from Gorgonospids was no good reason. He straightened as she gave the idea that they should find something easier to hunt. “Like what?” He questioned, putting his Vega’s back into their holsters on his legs, though he left the clips open so that they could be retrieved easily. “Everything out here is pretty big and nasty, with teeth. Except those slug things, and I don’t think those make for good eats.”

Jade hues looked the older male over carefully, as if she was silently judging his abilites on something within her head. Eventually, the huntress merely shrugged and let out a small sigh. "Seein' as how our luck hasn't been the greatest today.. Figured the only decent option now would be some fishin'. But it wouldn't be as easy as you might think. This isn't Cocoon. I'm sure you're already aware of this, but even most native fish are several times deadlier than what you're used to."

“Well, whatever the case of spending time with you is, I am glad that I am doing it,” he finally announces, sitting at the counter and patting the seat next to him to signal her to join him. Also giving a signal to the bartender for 2 drinks, he smiles at Fang. “So long as you are around again.”

“Well you never know, there’s always that chance I’d leave again for some reason or another.” She grins at him in return, while taking a moment to settle into the stool next to him. “---But I’m sure you’d sorely miss havin’ me around again, if I left so soon after gettin’ back.”

      “Hiya’!~” Yep, here comes that totally innocent fake tone. Rikku knows she’s been playing the wandering, disappearing act for a way too long time. Fang was gonna’ be unhappy about that. Small wave given and the biggest cheesy smile she can manage.       “Miss me?”

“---I knew you’d come runnin’ back again sooner or later.” There’s a momentary pause as she turns towards the familiar voice, and folds arms over her chest while eyeing the younger girl a bit. “Kinda figured it’d be sooner than later, but beggars can’t be choosers I suppose.” A small grin eventually peeks through her semi serious face though, because staying mad at Rikku wasn’t something that happened for long. “But aye, you know I always miss ya when you’re gone too long, missy.”
