🚨 HELP A DISABLED TRANSGENDER PERSON SURVIVE UNEMPLOYMENT 🚨
hi, my name's juno and i never thought i'd actually be making a post like this. for anyone it matters to, i'm a transmasculine nonbinary/genderfluid person with AuDHD, DID, chronic anxiety, and a fun laundry list of other disorders.
2 weeks ago, I was let go by my job after they unexpectedly eliminated my entire job position for budget cuts. I've applied for unemployment in my state, but it's going to be pending for the next several weeks and even when i do start receiving benefits, it'll only be around half of what i was paid at my job. i have some savings, but my lease also ends in just over a month, and i am in no way mentally nor financially prepared to move. i'd like to use my sudden unemployment as an opportunity to work on my creative prospects, and i am attempting to do so, but i'm ultimately in an extremely rocky situation right now, and if my dream job of making video essays ever does take off, i can't count on it happening anytime in the foreseeable future. all this combined with my ongoing mental health struggles and issues with getting on the right meds is... yeah.
i don't have a specific goal or amount that i need in mind, half because it's a general need and not toward anything specific and half because i've frankly been too stressed and anxious to budget. that is to say, literally anything helps.
if you're someone who's already familiar with my art, you can always rewatch one of my videos to give me a bit of ad revenue, purchase one (or several) of the charms i'm currently selling (only available for a few more days!), or even subscribe to my patreon if that's of interest (i haven't updated it in a while, but expect to see new stuff on there soon since im working on a new essay rn)
if you're not familiar with my art, or just want to help more straightforwardly, you can donate to my kofi. again, any amount helps me, and you can give as little as $1 - but no pressure if you can't spare much or anything at all! you can also help by reblogging and sharing this post
TL;DR: i lost my job (wasn't my fault, no way to see it coming) and i need help staying afloat. my unemployment benefits are tied up and not enough to live off of, and i have to move apartments soon which is another source of stress. donations or spreading the word helps a lot. thank you for reading!
