AS2 seems to have more concise coding and simpler button control than AS3. Liking the pencil tool for outlines a lot more than the brush vectors spazzing out on me. Though, I get that Flash is meant more for manipulating images rather than creating new ones, I don’t think I’ll take the time to relearn heavy tweening for awhile. The paint bucket may have been the most satisfying process, but would like a way to color on separate layers so as not to affect the rest of the image from edits. The selection tool, quick access by holding Ctrl, can select stray lines, close gaps and fix corners. I was pretty lazy on doing this as parts started wonking out even after deselecting snap to object.   General line strokes, or rather the number of data points, seems to be affected by the speed of the stroke and zooming appears to affect the precision of some functions. F4 hides panels for more workspace.

The boards/keyframes were drawn in SAI and then copy and pasted to a guide layer. Next time I should add a bit of color so it’s easier to differentiate the lines or use less detailed basic shapes. I’ll also have still frames like at the end made into a movie clip so I can save space o the timeline or stretch out as I see fit. Alas, I couldn’t figure a simple code for a preloader or a button to finish a loop before going to the next scene.
