"Pelican Time" was an illo. created for My OC Essay found in Orange Coast Magazine about the value of time.

The story stated that Thomas Edison, who patented his improved version of the Victrola, was actually deaf in his later years, but could "hear" the sound of a piano being played by biting down on the piano and feeling the vibrations of the strings which were transferred from his teeth to his inner ear.

"TEN ROOMS" in the House of Life is a full page illustration commissioned by Readers Digest.... Be on the lookout for a brief "animation" of the image on the Readers Digest ipad version.  

“SMARTER, GREENER, BETTER” was originally commissioned by the New York MTA, Arts for Transit. The poster displayed throughout the greater New York area in many of the MTA’s 435 subway and bus stations in 2012.

Here is one of the latest illos from Pushart commissioned by Gulfshore Life magazine for the "Here & Now" column.  This month's story talked about a crazy canoe race (this years theme being SNL), the anniversary of a local brewery and an 18' pink christmas tree thrown in for good measure.

The above pictures include a few process shots from "Signs of Life" which Pushart recently created for Orange Coast Magazine.  The story was about how nature and wildlife co-exist with civilization in Orange County, CA. The mountains were created out of paste-papers and the buildings are painted with acrylic-gouache. Many Thanks to O.C. Magazine for the commission!
