Closed RP - The Devil's assignment

“I don’t need a weapon.” He replied as he continued walking. Although Austin was extremely talented with a sword, it just wasn’t his style, he preferred getting his hands dirty. Despite this, the wolf reluctantly followed the girl to the armoury. It would be better if she actually had something to defend herself with, less work for him anyway. After all, his only purpose on this mission was to keep Lucifer’s little princess safe, even though he felt he probably wouldn’t need to. The boss wouldn’t have sent her if she wasn’t capable, he guessed the guy was just being over protective.

browsing the armoury walls with incision I found my usual weapon of choice, my Smith n Wesson revolver. Brass knuckles, ammo changes, hand grenades, katars, katana, scyais… yeah I think I’m ready go… I looked at austin when he spoke of not needing a weapon, I’ll take a second katana with me just in case…

Austin observed with crossed arms and a swaying tail as the girl loaded herself with all sorts of weapons. If she could use all them, Austin had the feeling that he wouldn't need to be protecting her anytime soon. He uncrossed his arms and shoved them in his pockets instead, his ears drooping a bit when he realised that they'd have to go up there soon but he sucked it up and just sighed. "If you're ready then lets go."

Austin sat himself upon the stool, resting his guitar on his lap. He quickly scanned the room and stopped when he saw the familiar figure, a smile spreading across his face. He came. Knowing that Yukiru was here made Austin start feeling a little nervous. He’d performed many times in front of many different people but this was the first time he had felt like this, his stomach was doing loops and his heart was going crazy. He took a deep breath and adjusted his guitar. “Err hi everyone, I’m Austin.” He spoke into the microphone. “A lot of you here have seen me play before but welcome to any new comers.” He winked in Yukiru’s direction before looking down at his fingers to adjust which chord he was going to use first.

He began strumming the strings with a deep breath before he started. “I’ve been roaming round, always looking down and all I see, painted faces fill the places I can’t reach, you know that I could use somebody…you know that I could use somebody…” He shifted his gaze directly at Yukiru as he sang. “Someone like you, and all you know and how you speak, countless lovers undercover of the street…” He continued looking at the boy, only looking away to glance at where his hands where going as his voice was carried out throughout the shop.

"You know that I could use somebody…you know that I could use somebody…someone like you!" He continued singing until the song was finished, a quiet round of applause echoing throughout the shop. "Thank you." He said into the mike as the capping died down. He continued with another three songs until one of the waitresses announced it was his break and brought over a cup of coffee for him. He quickly thanked them and grabbed the mug, rushing over the where Yukiru was sat and taking a seat. "You came…" He said quietly, a very subtle blush rising on his cheeks.

The dove blushed a little at the wink when Austin spoke. He grinned back in return, flashing the other a toothy smile. He listened quietly to the songs and gazed right back into the other male’s eyes as he sang. It sounded like Austin was singing directly to him. He clapped right along with the rest of the audiance.

He sipped his hot chocolate as he watched Austing go on a break and come over to him. He flashed his fangs at the guy, enjoying the blush on Austin’s cheeks. “Yeah. Couoldn’t miss this.” he stated, though a more… diry reply had come to his mind. It took all of his willpower to not say it though. “Did you miss me?” he asked curiously and he took another sip of his warm and sweet drink.

Austin chuckled nervously and fiddled with the handle of his mug. "Yeah...I did actually." His face was practically bright red now but he figured there was no point in trying to act cool. For these past couple of days, Yukiru hadn't left Austin's mind. He'd secretly pray that he'd run into him on the street or in the park, he'd even visited the book shop to see if he'd be here but he'd never seen him again. So to see him here tonight, supporting him, Austin was incredibly happy and relieved.

Austin brought his mug up to his lips and took a sip, accidentally using his tongue to lap up the bitter drink. With wide eyes, Austin instantly stopped once he realised what he was doing. Man, being a wolf half the time really changes ya. He cleared his throat and tried to shake it off, pretending like nothing unusual had happened and hoping that Yukiru hadn't seen.

By the time Thursday had came, Austin had cooled down a bit but he was still seriously pissed at Jeremy. So much so that he’d temporarily banned him from hunts and other outings with the pack. That guy seriously needed to learn some respect, he didn’t understand why he hated him so much.

With a sigh, Austin heaved himself up from the couch. “I guess I should start getting ready.” He mumbled. He’d promised the book shop that he’d play for them today and he had nothing better to do. He walked over to where his guitar rested on a stand and picked it up, slotting it into its case. “I wonder if Yukiru’s gonna be there…” He finished with the locks on the case and hauled it onto his back. He grabbed his keys just before he left and made his way down to the shop.

Upon entering with a little chime, Austin noticed the stool and microphone that were set up in the corner. He smiled and waved at the waitresses before making his way over to the stool. He looked around at the familiar faces that filled the the place, many had seen him perform before, others were just people he recognized from around town. He sighed and started setting up his guitar.

When Thursday came, Yukiru was trying to hurry. He was getting ready. He had to look nice… for him…

His older brother, Daisuke, stood in the door way of Yukiru’s privet bathroom and grinned at him. “Got a hot date?” the older male teased gently.

The dove blushed and grinned back at his brother through the mirror. “He’s hot. but its not a date.” came the retort.

Dark gray brows lifted in surprise and the grin widened. “Oh really now~” He chimed with a slight chuckle. “Where are you heading to see this guy then?” The older male was then abruptly pulled into the bathroom and the door shut behind him.

"You can’t tell anyone… Not even mom and dad." Yukiru spoke in a soft whisper. his brother nodded. "His name is Austin. He lives over in the pack’s territory. I met him in a bookshop a few days ago."

"…Thats when Hikari died… So THAT’S where you vanished to! Honestly I don’t blame you. Their territory is more peaceful then ours." he stated making Yukiru feel loads better. "Don’t worry. I won’t tell anyone. I’ll even help you sneak out to see him!"

"Alright. And if trouble happens… Send Demon for me. He knows my scent the best." And with that the two brothers and the dogs headed out. Daisuke Gave his little brother a few hours to deal with whatever he had to. So he was pretending to walk the dogs with him.

When Yukiru arrived in the town he made a beeline for the book shop where Austin was sure to be. He managed to slip in behind another customer to make it appear that he had been thee for hours, but upon seeing the other male on stage he froze a little. A moment later he smiled and wandered over to a table to watch. The dove was dressed like he had been the day they met.

Austin stormed through the door of his apartment, slamming it behind him. Why couldn’t people just do as they where told? If it wasn’t for Jeremy, Austin could’ve been having coffee with a nice boy that he actually liked but no, instead he was here, getting prepared for a possible fight. He approached David with a scowl, who was frantically pacing back and forth in the middle of the room. “Boss! Look, I know your pissed but-“

"Damn right I’m pissed! What the hell was that bastard thinking!? If he doesn’t die out there, I’m gonna kill him myself!" He was so unbelievably angry right now. First, he goes and kills someone against his orders and now this? What the hell was his problem? "Boss, calm down, we need to go after him!" David reasoned as the rest of the pack started gathering around. "You’re right, lets go." David nodded as they all started making their way out the apartment. "Timmy, you stay here. I don’t want you getting involved if something bad happens." The child nodded and slumped down on the couch as Austin ruffled his hair, a farewell just before he left.

Being led by Austin, the pack made their way through the town and to the edge of the forest. Just as they were about to transform, a figure emerged from the trees. Immediately realising who it was, Austin rushed forward and punched Jeremy square in the jaw, making him fall to the ground. “YOU! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?! YOU KNOW HOW DANGEROUS IT IS TO GO INTO THEIR TERRITORY YET YOU STILL WENT, ALONE!?” Jeremy glared back at Austin from below, blood seeping from his lip as he gritted his teeth. “Faggots like you don’t have the right-“

"DON’T START WITH THAT CRAP AGAIN! I’M THE ONE IN CHARGE HERE! YOU FOLLOW MY ORDERS SO STOP ACTING LIKE A BRAT AND ACTUALLY DO AS YOU’RE TOLD FOR ONCE!” Austin had to resist the urge to punch him again so he span around in his heel and marched away, making his way back through the pack. “We’re leaving.”

"And where the fuck did you go?" Snarled Norio. The long black hair cascaded behind the taller male like a cloak. Yukiru walked past him as he entered the mansion.

"None of your buisness. Fuck off." the dove snapped back at the lion and walked off the twin greyhounds close on his heels. He just wanted to relax now and think of that really nice guy he had met earlier. He wishe the guy didn’t have to go but he wasn’t about to make him stay.

”-…not supposed to be full fledged hunters.” A female voice stated.

The dove paused outside of his father’s studdy when he heard his mother’s voice.

"I know that. But now that Hikari is gone we can’t focus on peace between us and the wolf pack." His father stated.

"An arranged marrage without the pack knowing about it isn’t going to help. Even if Hikari was still alive." retorted his mother. "What if the chosen wolf was into men?"

"…I didn’t think about that…" the elder admitted.

"And even if this is true… Yukiru wouldn’t agree to it. His twin was killed by the pack." she reminded her husband.

"Now you are just… raining on my parade, my dearest." the man sighed.

At that point the dove continued on his way. He looked down at the dogs as he entered his once shared room. “I should have given Austin my number…” the dogs whined softly in reply.
