1. Of course he’s going to have a bad tendency of enabling peoples problems, you do not grow up the way he’s implied to have and then suddenly be good at helping others. Remember, he is forced to join SEES and is literally memed on for being apathetic and depressed. Why would he suddenly be good at giving advice or even realizing what is supposed to be considered ‘normal’.

2. If he does mess up, he always tries to fix it. He is immediately looking for Maiko and knows exactly where to find her, he tries to keep Hidetoshi from going too far when agreeing with him isn’t working and he knows the context of what’s going on, keeps an eye out knowing Kenji’s going to be in trouble, does give little urges for Bebe to remember his home. Minato does make mistakes and he always does better afterwards.

3. People over-blow his rudeness way too much, even if it’s one of my favourite parts about him. He cares so so much, Ryoji literally exists from the blueprints of Minato’s life. Death changed and grew up because he was living inside Minato, and is now a deeply emotional kind being. Do you understand.

4. Just because the mentally unwell sixteen year old makes poor choices you the player do not agree with, doesn’t mean he’s some irredeemable jerk who actively chooses to harm people.

5. JUST BECAUSE THE MENTALLY UNWELL SIXTEEN YEAR OLD MAKES POOR CHOICES YOU THE PLAYER DO NOT AGREE WITH, DOESN’T MEAN HE’S SOME IRREDEEMABLE JERK WHO ACTIVELY CHOOSES TO HARM PEOPLE.

At least in the original Japanese text, his “rudeness” is somehow funny and entertaining (to Sanada etc) . Plus he is never rude to ppl who are older (even use the polite form of sentence). To someone like Maiko, Ken or even Koromaru, he is very caring and gentle. (Y’all have to listen to the Persona 3 Drama, guys)
