however this ends up it should never have been this close. it is so repulsive to think half of this country thinks our rights and lives are dispensable. the person next to you on your ride to work could (or probably even does) think you're less of a person because of who you love, or how you express yourself, or what you look like, or what organs you were born with. it's actually insane to think we're supposed to just move past that.

If companies are allowed to sue you for losses during a strike, there is now no longer an incentive to not simply burn down your place of work.

For most people, there's really no difference between say, 15,000$ of debt, and 200,000$ of debt. They are equally life-ruining sums of money. Why not, you know, leave that gas stove on? Cost the company some real money? Maybe if it happens enough times they won't be able to buy insurance.

it's actually insane paid sick leave is controversial in the US. it's not just out of touch rich people either. there are minimum wage workers literally negatively impacted by lack of labor laws in the US that just think their suffering is necessary and everyone else is a pussy. the whole work culture here is toxic. I want to explode at work every day

the most fucking annoying thing in US politics is, whenever there's a strike, people going "well MY working conditions are even worse and you don't see me complaining". maybe you should complain actually! maybe we should collectively drop the mindset that unnecessary suffering proves merit! how fucking brainwashed do you have to be to BRAG about being treated like shit.
