Congratulations to Computer Science alumnus Kris Reyes for winning the 2015 Reference Data Challenge, hosted and sponsored by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), which asked competitors to produce a mobile app that provides access to NIST Standard Reference Data (SRD). http://www.meruapps.com/meru-apps-wins-first-ever-data-app-challenge-hosted-by-nist/

Michael Stoppelman, Yelp's vice president of engineering, met and spoke to dozens of Computer Science students at the Purdue Anvil workspace. Stoppelman is an alumnus of Purdue Computer Science.
