⏤ He's super physically affectionate once he's close enough to you - he's always holding your hand, leaning on your shoulder slightly if you two are sitting down, tucking away strands of your hair with a big goofy tender smile on his face, and immediately hugging you in person whenever he sees you!

⏤ He's big on words of affirmation, he loves you and is always wanting you to know that, so he's always showering you with compliments. They aren't just shallow compliments to make you feel good either - he really means what he says when he thinks you're amazing and so talented!

⏤ As we know him to be, Steven is always a huge champion for growth and change, so he'll do whatever he can to support you in your goals and your hobbies. Even if he doesn't always understand them due to his sheltered upbringing, he'll make an effort to try anyways. That being said, he'll freak out if you suddenly decide to go somewhere long-distance for a long time, so try to keep in mind and communicate with him about your plans. Even if he tries to convince you to stay, he'll eventually understand, especially if you two make a compromise.

⏤ Did I mention he's clingy? He is So clingy in the relationship, especially as Future goes on. He's constantly texting you and wanting to do video calls with you, and if he's in person, he's always hovering over your shoulder, wanting to spend time with you, and always cuddling up to you. Your company means a lot to him right now, especially when he's struggling, though he'd never fully say that out loud. He's generally pretty lonely and isolated with all his friends moving on, and your company is the only thing that makes him feel at ease.

⏤ If it's going to bother you, please be gentle when communicating boundaries, because he'll go in the opposite direction and not tell you about any of his problems or feelings - something he's already doing too much of. He'll still struggle with any distance, especially since he needs the support, but he'll do his best to respect your personal space if you ask for it. He's never demanding about it, he's just lovably annoying.

⏤ Speaking of clinginess, he is so big on cuddles and hugs. He likes to hug you in person and won't ask for cuddles (unless he's feeling super affectionate that day and summons the courage to ask!) until you initiate them. He absolutely loves cuddling with you and since he's been so tired from everything, usually falls asleep and likes to nap with you. Cuddles also really help him whenever he's feeling anxious or stressed. Literally melts in your arms the instant you begin to stroke his curls.

⏤ When he needs comfort, you'll usually pick up on his tells by this point. He'll off-handedly mention everyone else "moving on" or tell you how glad he is that you're here - that's his subtle way of opening up to you and telling you that your presence is helping. He doesn't tell you what he wants or needs, but just listening to him and avoiding any advice (unless he asks for it) helps him more than he'll let on.

⏤ Hugs and gentle touch in general really help him calm down when he's feeling anxious or emotional, even though he'll never initiate them himself out of fear of bothering you. He'll likely cling to you if you hug him, especially if he's glowing pink. Rubbing his back or stroking his hair while he cries into your arms helps him calm down instantly, and he'll be very clingy and attached to you afterwards.

⏤ If you're human, he probably will be super hesitant to get you involved in any of the gem stuff, unless you know how to fight or fuse with him. He's worried that all of the gem-related problems that his mother left behind might start affecting you, especially now that the two of you are dating. He's especially super overprotective towards you when any of his mom-related issues come up - the last thing he wants is for you to get hurt.

⏤ He is super cheesy and is a big hopeless romantic! He loves coming up with date ideas. He prefers to be the date planner, but he'll be happy to let you plan them with him if you ask, of course. Just don't mind him too much if he's a bit of a control freak about it - he's doing this out of love and wants it to be perfect for the two of you.
