My take on Lady Death as a concept. Also I am really proud of my line art-

The one who guides souls to the afterlife has been granted immortality but with it doesn't come eternal youth. As the years pass Death looses her youthful appearance, grows old, and eventually starts to decompose.

Death has grown uncomfortable with how frightened people have become of her appearance, especially children, she doesn't wish for people's final moments to be spent in fear of her. So she ditches the old black rags commonly depicted for her position, and try's putting on a more motherly appearance appropriate for the period of time. She wears a long flowery dress with ruffles in hopes to hide her withering boney limbs, she puts on make up on whatever is left of her skin to give it some color and has even made a wig of horse hair to cover her scalp.
