Btw the fic idea was Apo needing to go on some dangerous mission away from Cherri and Cherri giving them something of hers (maybe the sun brooch?) and talking about how “oh this is a very important thing to me so you have to be careful with it and bring it back to me” (essentially come home after this, please dont die)
And Apo does come back. Shes hurt but she comes back and offers the brooch back to them, apologizing that it’s been sullied by her blood but Cherri cant bring themself to be mad because Apo’s alive
