for the lovely lovely deafies out there who want to get involved in direct action you absolutely 100% cannot ever bring a hearing aid or cochlear implant with bluetooth to any direct action. bluetooth devices all carry a unique signal that can be used to identify you if it's picked up at a direct action. go with a [more] hearing buddy and communicate in sign language. if you don't mutually know a sign language then come up with gestures. do not risk your freedom because you want to have your hearing aid/cochlear implant at the action. it's not worth it.
flock cameras are also now tracking bluetooth device signatures when you pass them. if you drive past a flock camera with your bluetooth-enabled hearing aid or cochlear implant, the flock camera knows you passed through
Wait I just realized this is gonna apply to all cgms and most if not all insulin pumps. They’re all Bluetooth devices, it’s essential to how they work
I did not think it possible, but I have just developed even more hatred, derision, and contempt for the perpetual surveillance state.
"Quick" "easy" "lazy" recipes love to pretend that prep and cleanup occur within a pocket dimension outside time and space.
"When I don't feel like cooking, I [recipe that requires usage of a stove, which is by definition cooking]" videos pmo and then the food at the end looks so good it feels like I'm being mocked for my variable spoons. Bonus points if you have produce to wash and cut. I WISH I COULD COOK MORE OFTEN I MISS COOKING SO MUCH.
"When I think about buying takeout, I remember I can [recipe that takes way more time and energy, therefore misunderstanding the reason people buy takeout]" like girl your recipes are amazing you don't need to ragebait like this. I wanna look at your recipes for when my spoons are higher but your framing is causing people in the comments to debate whether people with executive dysfunction are too lazy for good food.
every time someone talks about someone "faking disability to live on welfare" or anything to that effect i think about how my mom worked in law and directly knew of a case of a guy who had terminal brain cancer with an estimated few months to live and got rejected the first time he applied for disability income. like, he was 100% going to die and that wasn't disabled enough to not have to jump through a million hoops and get lawyers involved. non-disabled people "living off of welfare" is such a non issue because i cannot bring myself to care about the like, 3 people who maybe successfully do it compared to the thousands of people rejected who need aid
I love Grace's raincoat so much. Yellow like cowardice, yellow like happiness, yellow like the sun, yellow like the astronauts uniforms, excellent use of symbolism and foreshadowing I'm normal about this movie

i'm wasting my life on the computer when i could be living my life to the fullest on the computer
An extraordinary Acheulean handaxe knapped around a fossil shell circa 500,000-300,000 years ago.
The maker appears to have deliberately flaked around the shell to preserve and place it in a central position. As a result this handaxe has been described as an early example of artistic thought.

touch-starvation needs to be written with emphasis on the starving part. you are hungry to be touched. so hungry that even the very taste of it makes you nauseous. it has been long since anything has ever touched you, ever fed you - that your body has grown more used to that gnawing emptiness more than anything else. it's better for you to be held, to eat but it makes you sick to try. you know

americans are sooo desensitized to guns and sometimes it manifests in ways that affect your media literacy. like remember in the first episode of sherlock when john watson opens up his drawer and you see a gun in there and youre supposed to understand that this is narratively significant and conveys his suicidality as well as his willingness to skirt rules and laws but the first time i watched it i was like oh well theres his desk gun. lots of people have those
