heya everyone! or at least, everyone interested in my video game project Pumpkinbloom. sorry i haven’t been showing much recently, i’ve been working on it but it’s been slow (Thanks, high school :’) ). at this point, the most annoying part is spriting and making the battle system. it’s the first part of this i’ve coded fully myself without tutorials, so it’s a huge ol pain in the ass. rest assured, i’m still working hard on it!

and for those of you that haven’t heard of pumpkinbloom and might be interested in a 2D RPG about two kids and their dead friend who need to escape the underworld, ping me an ask and i’ll tell you all about it.

oh yeah that last post reminded me!!! i'm going to work on getting a macos version of PB uploaded! unfortunately my mac has just stopped being supported, so i'll have to borrow my parents ones. when i upload it, i'll just set the itch.io page to unlisted too. ease of access n all that :)

ok i probably need to say this;

PUMPKINBLOOM will NOT be playable on web, unfortunately. something in my textbox code breaks the game when exporting it to HTML5. everything else works, but considering you need to interact with things and have them show a textbox for certain flags to be checked, the game would be softlocked. so sorry yall v'_`v

yea haha!! so!!! it's been like. 4 months since i last uploaded anything??? and you may be noticing there isn't much new stuff in this one, but it's because i'm working through things bit by bit!!! but i've jumped ahead a bit. i'm still working on some maps n such, but i've got quite a bit of the design stuff for the demo done!! so yea!!! ive altered dialogue n stuff, working on some portraits, etc etc etc. iirc oli didnt have portrait sprites in the last upload so!!! she's got them now! the last cutscene is slitght borked, youre kinda stuck in that room, but you can hold esc to quit! if you don't have an esc key: gog help you.
