A question in WordWeavers hashtag on Mastodon:
If your MC was a superhero, what would their symbol be?
My reply (in reference to my novel protagonist):
Jakes symbol would be simply the Kanji 愚 - foolish, stupid, which he is wearing proudly on his basecap. His half-sister gifted it to him, and he thinks that this symbol fits his life very well.
A perfect outfit for our reluctant hero.
On my sketch, the Kanji is black. Originally it‘s stitched in red on a black cap.
This is btw from the bonus pages in my novel.
The one you will find there is slightly different, only in black and white and is showing the Japanese つづく for „to be continued“.
At the end of the epilogue there is also a b/w sketch of his basecap with the Kanji.
Maybe Ximena, his half-sister (she is a fujoshi - 腐女子, female fandom of „boys love“) should gift him a fitting shirt the next time (or a cape xD).
