I looked for a function to generate a UPC check-digit using ColdFusion/Railo. Couldn't find anything, so I wrote one. Give it 11 digits and it'll tell you the 12th. Hopefully someone finds this useful.

About UPC codes: A typical UPC code is 12 digits. The first 11 digits (perhaps supplied to you by gs1) can be anything. The 12th digit ("check digit") must be calculated. The purpose of this last digit is to detect typos in the preceding number. An example from my tissue box is below. Information about the algorithm is here.
