"Come Inside of My Heart"

Yay! This is my first real fic! A dedication to my fellow simps in the discord!

I've been a long time fan of MHA since 2014. Fell in love with All Might's character and design since the Shonen Jump sneak peek issue. The series has come a long way. While MHA has its flaws, All Might's development stayed unique in my eyes, and reeled me back in for the final season.

I'm pratically a new writer, but I hope you enjoy my work. Took alot of courage and medication to finally put myself out there. Having said that, please feel free to comment, critique, or throw down an ask! I love interacting with fellow Might lovers and diving deep into conversations.

I didn't know tumblr was still kicking after "The Fall", so I'll be keeping updates mainly on here.

Shoutout to the AO3 Might fans keeping the tag alive! I swear I have read each and every single fic good or bad.

How It Started

Like most people, I never had the confidence to post anything on the internet. I had many mental blocks that prevented me from creating and sharing IRL and on the internet. But I knew deep down inside I needed to put something out there. After getting much needed help and quitting my job, my life has been open to so many new possibilities.

Unveil is inspired by my own experience at a secluded ryokan in the mountains. Though, I do have a well established partner at the time. Asaba is a real location and I highly encourage everyone to at least look it up before reading the fic.

The Unexpected

In canon, I believe Toshinori would stay a single pringle for the rest of his life. Rational? For a long time, All Might has been seen as this otherworldly being, an impossibie possibility. Of course, his perspective towards intamicy would be askewed. After all, the storyline after Kamino only made him realize how out of touch he is with his humanity. I would like to think All Might would spend the rest of his days getting to know himself and foster the intimate relationships he has now.

But its because of that notion sprung me into action. What will it take for All Might to settle down? How many arguements, heartaches, and mistakes he would have to experience to get him out of his shell?

Who is Toshinori Yagi?

As I said before, the series touches on this when he's learning how to be a mentor and rely others. When I'm writing these loves stories, I want to convey that same theme in his romantic life. Otherwise, what's the point of his character arc?

So yeah, being a sucker for bath sex scenes transformed into a full-time project. Videos, essays, manga panels, spinoffs you name it. I even dipped into the Japanese fanfiction space and those people are dedicated to their craft and are maticulous to stick with the source material.

This has allowed the fic to feel more alive in the universe and I hope ya'll enjoy the references I plug in now and then.

The Reader

Reader-Insert fanfictions has been getting flacked since the beginning of time, but I would like to think they still hold an importance to the growth of a fandom (I'm looking at you Dante's Inferno!). Plus, I'm a self-indulgent delusion queen and I plan on staying that way.

I am extremely proud of the original character I created for this series. In a way, she's a proxy for my life experiences. To me, my biggest goal for a reader character is to make them as relatabe as possible to the actually reader. Almost as if I'm talking to somebody I IRL.

My crazy ass has some many notes on her an All Might I made during my shift: venn diagrams, timelines, and character sheets. Pure entertainment for me.

I feel like you guys will really enjoy her as much I have creating her.

The Process (with a hint of agony)

This fic took months to launch off of the ground. I haven't touched MHA in years but the final season brought me back. Surprisingly, I use Pintrest as a starting point to find scene and info on All Might. People there be posting frame by frame, panel by panel, and I am ever grateful.

Then, I had to physically buy copies of the manga + spinoffs so I can bookmark and annotate. So much easier to reference back than endlessly search on Google.

What exactly am I looking for? Dialouge (common vernaculature, tone), movement and ticks, thought process, and interactions with people/environment. And it's not only All Might, the supporting casts, the background characters, the locations, they all matter!

I found it easier to draw out thumbnails of a scene than to simply imagine it. My rough drafts were real rough and I had trouble using words. I had to start reading books again and had a dictionary and thesarus pulled up whenever I had a writing session.

And of course, who could forget about writer's block? She loves me, I swear. I did have to learn to just write whatever came to mind before editing. I'm still teaching myself to stop going back and to keep pushing forward. Fuck perfectionism!

For The Future

I would love to:

Draw supplemental illustrations for each chapter

Write a full length sequel prequel (Title Reveal once first chapter is in the Final Drafts)

Do a mighty collab with someone in any fandom (art or fic)

Marry All Might

Do art commisions!

Acheive flowstate of drawing, writing, and crafting

Final Thoughts

God, I hope I not saying all of this just for the story to end up mid lol. While I do look at the numbers, at the end of the day, as long as I made someone happy, then I'm happy.

Failure is only a stepping stone. This fic might not be a hit, but hopefully it'll open a door for me to grow and continue creating.
