The thing is, too many people believe that there are Good People and Bad People, as opposed to good actions and bad actions. Good People can do no wrong, and Bad People can do no right

What that means is that the actions of Good People are always good, just by virtue of them being Good People, and the actions of Bad People can only be bad. Even if they're the same actions

So when the Bad People do eugenics it's obviously bad, but if the Good People believe in eugenics, especially when they're less obvious eugenics takes? That's good, because they're Good People

It's easy to see when you think about food:

If fat people (= bad) eat cake, that's bad and disgusting and gluttonous, because they're bad people. If skinny people (= good) eat cake, that's good and fun and cute, because they're good

Too many people operate under this framework, and don't realize or don't want to acknowledge that good people are very capable of bad things, and bad people can do good things too
