My piece for Penstore Talents. I sent a version with the name box, but for this version, I've drawn over it since it's taking quite a lot of space. Also, the last time I finished (or even colored anything) traditionally was almost 10 years ago, so I'm super proud (and surprised) that I even managed to finish this.

alright, so Belphie used to look like this

because Devon Rex kittens sometimes go through a bald phase. and then he caught the cat version of the common cold, probably at the vet during his neuter. in 2-5% of cases it mutates into something called FIP which is 100% fatal without treatment, aaaand Belphie drew the short straw. the medication wasn't legal in Canada yet, so I had to drive a few hours this little town to enrol him in a medical study, where I handed over [REDACTED] dollars and they gave me a million different pills of varying shapes to administer for several months, and now VOILA!

it's called "maxwell's demon" and it's so easy to learn but difficult to disprove. basically a tiny demon controls a trapdoor, letting some particles through, and eventually it changes the temperature of two gases without applying any work. the fact that actual physicists are fighting over this 💀
