Polka-Dot Man/Abner Krill has high functioning autism, in addition to his other psychological issues.

He’s clearly very socially awkward, doesn’t understand others emotional reactions. He speaks in a very honest and blunt manner, and even moves a little awkwardly.

He’s might have normal intelligence, but it’s clear he’s naïve in many ways as well.

James Norrington from Pirates of the Caribbean as being mildly autistic or having Aspergers.

He likes to stick to the rules and protocols. He could like the routine in them and may even find a sort of “comfort” in knowing the predictability.

He seems to struggle in understanding others emotions on the base level, and from just subtle clues.

He always comes off as somewhat cold and distant. That could be from not knowing the ‘correct’ thing to say (better to just not say anything).

While he does seem distant, it’s shown that he does care. He tries to takes care of his men, and fights fiercely to defend the Swan’s - not just Elizabeth, but her father as well.

Related to the last post: Shinrei from the manga Samurai Deeper Kyo has a mild form of Asperger’s Syndrome.

Shinrei is Hotaru’s half brother. Autism does have a genetic component.

He’s also show to be extremely rigid about routines and following the rules.

He doesn’t do well when there is any “grey” area.

Also, he’s emotionally awkward. He seems to understand them, but not exactly the appropriate responses.

The character Hotaru (Keikoku) from the manga Samurai Deeper Kyo has high functioning autism.

He has virtually zero social skill.

He doesn’t understand other people’s emotions, in fact he seems to not even fully understand his own at times.

Typically he’s very quiet, and when he does speak it seems to make little sense.

He doesn’t understand sarcasm and much humor seems to go over his head, but he certainly has an “off-beat” sense of humor.

He gets distracted by odd things at odd times.

He has his interests, and doesn’t seem to really care to know about anything else.

Psychological HeadCanons is a place where you can share what “mental illness” you have “diagnosed” a fictional character with.
