Before I leaped I should've seen the view from halfway down.

Wes Anderson’s “Rushmore” will forever be one of my favorite films. And honestly I can’t pinpoint a specific reason why, but if I had to it would be the performance of Jason Schwartzman as Max Fischer. One of my favorite actors of all time, he brings a charm and levity to the character that I find endlessly rewatchable, and his comedic delivery of every line is unmatched. I could fill an entire article with my thoughts on this movie, and one day I just might. A true classic.

"There was a point where all I saw were feathers, then I started swinging. And then I hit something and heard someone fall. Could've been somebody from my side."

"The world out there is marked by survival, by a kind who refuses to die. And here we are. A kind who will never know death, and yet we're fighting to live. There is beauty in what we are; shouldn't we too try to survive?"

Season 2 of Westworld may not have been flawless, but it was still an exceptionally entertaining season of television. It expanded on the world the first season set up in interesting new ways, and delivered one of the most action-packed seasons of pure robotic revolution.

“It was a war marked by stealth, murder, and betrayal as well, a war fought in shadows and stairwells, council chambers and castle yards, with knives and lies and poison.”

“Humans fancy that there's something special about the way we perceive the world, and yet we live in loops, as tight and as closed as the hosts do, seldom questioning our choices, content, for the most part, to be told what to do next.”

Season 1 of Westworld will always be special to me. One of the single greatest seasons of television I’ve ever experienced. An unpredictable and compelling quest for consciousness, with cinematography and score better than most blockbuster movies.

“I think we’re just gonna have to be secretly in love with each other and leave it at that.”

“Men would sooner put the realm to the torch than see a woman ascend the Iron Throne.”
