I think this is one of the last times ill be logging onto this account. I have my new blog fully set up but honestly I just dont really use tumblr anymore.
I joined this site during a bad point in my life. I was in middle school. My parents had recently gotten into the worst fight they'd ever been in and I ran off and stayed at my friend's house for a week. My relationship with my father is still recovering. On top of that, I lost most of my irl friend group to a jealous ex friend that lied about me.
So i think I used this place as a way to escape. Middle school sucked. Im nearing the end of high school now, and I feel like a much different person.
I had bad experiences on here, sure. Death threats on several occasions, creepy people on the internet being creepy on the internet, parasocial relationships, ect
But for the few years ive been here, ive been truly able to escape what all happened irl to me during that time. I thank you all. Please keep in contact with me on discord, and if youd like ill send you my new account (with rules, and I have the right to deny)
Thank you for helping me through that. Ill come back some day, I'm sure. Plus this isnt the last time ill be here. I'm going to transfer sideblogs over which will take forever, and the new account's dashboard just isnt well cultivated yet.
But honestly I dont really feel the need to be on this site all the time anymore. I found friends again. Ive made relationships past the screen. I'm growing.
I'm almost an adult now. I can taste the freedom. I'm glad I met (most of) you and thanks for making my life a little bit easier
